It's a big lie. Obaseki never funded Oshiomhole's election. Don't let people who are ignorant deceive you.

Provided which fund?

Okay, how much did Obaseki provide?
Where was Obaseki when Oshiomole was battling Osunbor?

For what exactly. Obaseki is a good example why having state police is a bad idea. Imagine if he had control over the police.
Which constitution gives a governor right to ban free association, movement and assembly of lawful citizens. Honestly Obaseki is embarrassing Edo citizens.imagine the deputy governor said at a rally last week Oshiomhole should get the permission of Obaseki before entering the state. how delusional can these desperadoes be?He is not the first person to seek RE election.
For the ignorant few shouting godfatherism I hope you read the last statement. All Obaseki wants is for Oshiomhole to act as a godfather by endorsing him and not conduct primaries. There will be primaries and elections

But having FG control it from the center is a good idea, right? Because they're doing a fantastic job so far.

State Police is a must!!. There should be tiers of "State Police"
One (community (for eg. Ekpoma, Iruekpen, Irrua, Uromi etc) Police ) should be headed by an elected officer from the said community, who will have the power to hire and fire, and who only answers to their community (and who would only be elected by members of the said community). Then there should be the state police to be headed by the State Governor. But before then, the States needs adjusting so only homogeneous tribes are found in a single state.

Obaseki/Oshiomole issue is all about "small small Afemai" trying to lord it over "the Great Bini".
Edo people are really a proud people that would not tolerate see finish

Is that not the same thing the FG does and use the Police Force, EFCC, etc for?

That is the main reason the FG is afraid of the State Police, because the fear is that some State Governor will abuse it, the same way they are doing.

But, is that a good rational or even an argument to put forward when discussing State Police? It is like saying, men should not get marry because some men abuse their wives...that is how stupid it sounds, the focus should be how to monitor, prevent, account for abuses but at the FG & at the State and how to penalize them as well.

oshoimole once said that the crisis rocking the edo apc is being course by Mr Philip shaibu, not obaseki. now I believe. Mr Philip shaibu is thy de-facto governor of Edo st just as Abba yari is thy president of Nigeria. Mr obaseki please wise up.

The funny thing here is that most people hailing Obaseki won't even go out to vote for him.... If you think Obaseki is fighting Osho because of godfatherism, you are just a baby in the game.
