Well let me make the first correction that the king of Saudi Arabia is not the Prophet or a prophet so a rational believer will know better than to see him as a perfect representation of the faith
Secondly the Quran is written mostly in rhymes, music and poems are mostly written in rhymes except for the mix of musical instruments in music. Islam is not against poetry but music. If there’s a way an artist could produce a good and meaningful music without the use of musical instruments then the situation changes!

Which is still irrelevant. Saudi and her citizens are not an example of what a Muslim should be. We have the Qur'an as our guide, the authentic Hadith, even lessons drawn from the lives of the prophets.

My brother, using of Musical Instruments is haram in Islam.
As you've rightly said in one of your comments, during the time of the Prophet, occasionally, drums were beaten.
But pls, there's a condition to the drum. The drum that's allowed (as a Musical instrument) was Duf. This kind of drum produces only one sound as opposed to others. I don't know if it has a name for it here in Nigeria.

Pls for God's sake, try to check for this in Sahih Muslim and Sahih Bukhari.

I know that you guys don't take Saudi (leaders) seriously, I was just using them as a primary example of how Islamic culture does not automatically prohibit music, since they are from the same tribe as the Prophet and they received Islam in the first instance.
