A 13-foot crocodile has been swimming around Indonesia with a tire around its neck for 4 years and now officials are offering a reward to anyone who can safely get it off.

According to Indonesia's state-run Antara news agency, the crocodile has had the tire around its neck since at least 2016, though it's unknown how it got there.

Indonesian officials have now offered a reward to free the unnamed crocodile from its plight, according to Antara.

"A reward will be given to anyone who can release the hapless reptile," Central Sulawesi Natural Resources Conservation Office chief Hasmuni Hasmar said. Details of the reward were not given.

There have been previous attempts to get the tire off the crocodile.

In January 2018, a conservationist and "animal whisperer" was unsuccessful in removing the tire using different methods.

But seriously na so Indonesia people nor get sense, can't they shoot a tranquilizer into its mouth and quickly cut off the tyre. Abi them wan put the crocodile on a new diet?

They should meet the person who put the tyre round its neck in the first place

Are the Indonesian guys high? Or they're just looking for someone to kill? Tranq the gaddem croc and you can paint it's fingernails if you want to. What sort of publicity stunt is this

Whatever happens to tranquilizer darts.
On another note, I suggest they trap the croc in an isolated spot, feed it very well well until it totally loss appetite and become sluggish as a result of being heavy with food, then get about 20 men to hold it down and cut off the damn tire.
