I totally and absolutely support this. Messi as well as Abidal are to be blamed for all that happened.
I will blame Messi because he and the big players in the team have always backed Valverde when facing the media. Comments suggest what can happen, if Messi as the captain had responded to the question of Valverde sack that the decision lies with the board, it would have given the fans hope other than backing Valverde completely. I expected Messi to ginger the players when they were down against Liverpool to but no, anytime the team is down, he keeps mute and does absolutely nothing. I'm a Barca fan and I'm happy to say Messi isn't a leader and doesn't deserve to be our captain. Some big players were indeed lazy as Abidal said because they knew good coaches would bench them so they continued backing Valverde. Players like Pique and Suarez.
As for Abidal, I would blame him because he hasn't been a good sporting director, all the players he has scouted and bought have been bad players. Griezmann wasn't needed in the first place. Boateng was a poor backup striker. The board especially Bartomeu's administration only care about the revenue the club gets. They dont care about the welfare of the club at all.
