Premier League have announced the date for the 2020/2021 season.

According to report obtained from Premier League official Twitter handle, the 2020/2021 season is expected to kick off on Saturday, 8th of August 2020.

Although, there has been reactions for this decision has as many believe the decision to start the season will come to early for players.


While others suggest this season should come to an end as many believe Liverpool have won the title.



Liverpool currently leading the race to win this campaign League title with 73 points.

The Reds are yet to lose a game this season, and the only draw came against Manchester United in the first leg.

But a second leg at Anfield saw Jurgen Klopp side defeat Ole Gunnar Solskjaer side 2-0.



Liverpool are looking to surpass Arsenal's invincible record under Arsene Wenger.

Earlier today, Premier League clubs voted to change to the Summer Transfer Window closing date for season 2020/21.

It was gathered that the 2020 closing date will therefore be 17:00 BST on 1 September (31 August 2020 being a UK Bank Holiday).
