shocked

Her gown, veil, bouquet, cake, earrings and all others are on point. And the guy's suit looks kiss

And I love the filter they used for the photo, so classy and fine.

10/10, this is truly beautiful.

I was expecting to see some "do not despise the days of small beginnings" kind of photo but I have been pleasantly surprised...this must be one of the best wedding photos I have seen on here.

The way those regions are going about marriage and marital rites, I fear for the future.

Just as Imo State, most especially Owerri ladies are living with a stereotype now.

You see their ladies, old and unmarried. Better still, they switch to cohabition. All because of cultural modifications.

Parents see their female children as goods to be sold to the highest bidder.

Ever wonder why parents in those regions give their children out to ritualists (Don wanny the militant), kidnappers (Evans the kidnapper), armed robbers (EMONEY the armed robber) without hesitation?

You cannot find that in the North.

PS I am not a Northerner but living with them for over a decade, I see that they have utmost respect for their marital institution.

Aboki can marry without having so much money. As long as he has a verifiable means of income.

On the day of Nikah, the bride's parents will settle her according to their financial strength. The Nikah is all about the young lady. Infact most of the expenses are footed by her parents. They celebrate her for finding a man and settle her to go build her family.

The most annoying thing is couples living separately and still making reference to their union as "fiancee's" despite being married traditionally.

This is very bad and condemnable[/s]

Rubbish

Great!

No display of ill-gotten wealth by guests, which usually pollute the spirituality and sanctity of marriage.

People are learning.

the guy that said reception is meant for kids, did he respect people's choice? Or what did he mean by such statement?

You should have quoted him first, if you are so concerned with respecting other people's choices. Na the one wey hit you, you go see

Reception is for people that can afford it and people who want it, not for kids. There is no shame in it

Congratulations and may Nature favour your family. Please do not stop being fair to the young men of this days.

Maybe I generalized but the truth remains that a vast number of families in those region I quoted are guilty of this sin.

Exactly my friend.

I am not saying Northerners don't have a problem. Ofcoure they do.

Infact, their Problems poses a huge threat to our economy and sovereinity.

But for Marriage, they are still doing well.

And that because the elites know the direct impact that flamboyant weddings and cultural modifications will have on marriages and their baby breeding political agenda.
