I speak and write 7 languages, I am not feeling like to impress anybody in this chat forum, I write the way I like.
Technical Writing is my forte (I translated and wrote so many books for the Air Force in different languages), not good in a simple chat. Yet Nigerians have a heavy accent and are not good in grammar but I am not complaining, it's OK.

Houston, I think we have a problem.
If you write books (a professional skill set) and in seven (7) different languages (showing a super-advanced professional skill set), you will not for the love of anything write/chat in flawed grammar.

Im not against your other opinions on here, but the accent part, who or what makes the American accent the official and acceptable accent of the world? You have yours,we have ours! Before i got used to foreign accents,i could barely hear what people in Asia or North America were saying, but i never complain or think im better because i understand we’re just ‘different’ The amount of people that speaks fluent English in Asia on all of my visits to the continent are countable! All of their English is broken!

And since we’re all profiling strangers on here! Lol,if im to profile you! You’re not Nigerian,i picked that up from your previous comments/thought process and definitely not White-American! Probably mexican,European in the United States!

I will share two proverbs with you, one is African the other I believe biblical

“If you can see the little things and the small details around you as big things, you're enlightened!”

"Be faithful in small things because it is in them that your strength lies. If small things have the power to disturb you, then who you think you are is exactly that: small"

Nigerians have heavy accent yet you are jumping everywhere on a Nigerian portal.

You can actually use a phone. I did for mine.

Make sure there is adequate natural light in the room, not too much, not too little. Make sure your background is plain as in the guidelines. Look into the camera.
Then don't use WhatsApp to send the picture (It resizes photo pixels). Attach as an email, or if using your phone to fill the application, attach directly.
Try not to use all the photo editing apps to touch the photo, EXCEPT to crop if too large and out of focus.

If these don't work, just find a properly set up photo studio that will give you the photos as soft copy without being treated/touched up or watermarked

Use the photograph dimension as shown on the website. Any professional photographer should be able to size and give you a soft copy to upload.

See, this is what I say: you type and type and stare intently on the monitor, and then you pause and take a deep breath and announce, approved/denied.

A lot of the questions asked had been submitted by the applicant beforehand. U ask the same and type and type and watch the screen closely, and boom you make a determination.

My assumption has been that the VO's decision s influenced by certain electronic procedures or something like that. I called it algorithm which probably sounded silly lol.

The question is Why do u take a deep breath and announce your decision?? Why??

Section 214(b) refusals: These are refusals for non-immigrant visas where the consular officer is unconvinced of the applicant's non-immigrant intent. This ground of refusal cannot be appealed, but the applicant is free to apply again for a visa (paying the visa fee again). Past refusals are on the record and the applicant is therefore in principle expected to show a change in circumstances to explain why he/she would now qualify for a visa.

However, since different consular officers make decisions based on their own discretion the applicant may well qualify when applying the second time despite no change to circumstances.

That's what the book says. I'm talking about realities. Why do they type and type, and then heave a huge sigh before looking up at applicant to announce the outcome of the application?

Is there something that the computer tells them?
