If I say my heart is broken, I lie. My heart is ripped apart, by a volcano that erupted in it. I pray I bounce back stronger, though it seem impossible at this moment.

You actually do have a tough decision to make, but I will just give few advise.
Not all ExxonMobil contract job pays above 500 especially after graduate internship. There is Hr and service contract, also depending on your years of experience and your supervisors justification that will determine how much you will be paid. I was in your department some year back. In fact EM will make you feel like you are the best but when they want to end your contract , they will not look back.
During my service year and internship I was sent to all the location for work and Lodge in good hotels like the employees. Please if nobody gave you assurance that you will be converted please don't take their kind gesture as they will convert you. I spent 3 year for NYSC and graduate internship, a lil above one year and my contract was terminated without reason. I am not trying to scare you but please be sure of this stuff before making your decision.
But I know the lowest you can get for contract is 250k if you just finish internship you can ask those you are working with. You can get 500k and above if you have like 3years experience and above for. I am speaking for support operations you department don't know for the likes of NPO. Procurement, law, process and control, HR, Gref, Drilling, Emit or payables.
Good luck in your decision.

I think before the GTs resume EH will be concluded since their resumption is in May.

Sempumping, pls do you have any idea if there will be any replacements for people who won't accept the job? Is there any little hope left?

Those without APL, we all still have great future. Remember the battle is not for the strong nor riches to men of understanding but time and chances happened to them all, more opportunities are before us.

Am currently with ExxonMobil on graduate internship with the logistics department. There is assurance of conversion to contract after my program but still within logistics dept


Recently I got dangote fertilizer graduate trainee offer with a five year bond. I will be trained overseas and can only leave after five years.

I was thinking NNPC will come through but now I've got to make a choice.

I hold a first class degree in chemical engineering (2018) and am passionate about career.

What would you advice. Does working as a logistic personnel count as an experience, should I accept dangote offer. Am confused. please pardon my typo, am still basking in the euphoria of this heartbreak from NNPC

In terms of pay, Exxon pays above 500 as contract while dangote pays 180k after training.

Please I want to ask if you don’t mind. How can I get an intern in Exxon? First class in quantity surveying.

My close friend and flat mate then also rejected it on my advice. He had Oando offer at the same time and needed to choose one. I advised him to choose Oando. Today, he’s a senior manager in another top downstream major.

Congrats to the GTs who were successful & to the GTs who didn't get APL, may God see u through. It's very painful & I must confess, I knw how such disappointment can be.
In 2007, I applied for NDA, RC (2nd time I applied). I passed & went to Kaduna for interview. Even though I was in 200L studying engineering in d university, I wanted to join d Armed Forces. I had 29 other fellow men from my state to contend with & of which NDA would pick 6. I was d only university student in camp from my state. There was a polytechnic guy that was later disqualified in camp because of his certificate (I guess it was too old cause there was a time frame). I passed d marathon, medicals etc. We went home after camp but I wasn't successful wen final names came. I contemplated suicide, walai. I mourned for months cos this was all I wanted. I almost failed in school. My 100L was a 4.2 GPA but 200L drew me down to 3.2CGPA. I had to move ahead & I bless God I did. Looking back at 2007, I thank God I was not on d final list & I don't want to join d Armed Forces again (for reasons best known by me). I thank God for who I am today.
The moral of the story is that: yes it is painful but God has a reason for everything. It's a difficult pill to swallow but I must say, ur greatness can come from everywhere. God bless u all.
Though I'm an EH hopeful & the heartbreaks I saw touched me. I pray to God to give us all d best he has in store for us, Amen

But finally, I should have been part of this recruitment, the common knowledge about any federal institution discouraged me and I regret not giving this recruitment a shot right from when my guys were invited for interview.

Now one of my guys got the job and the other two are still hoping for notification on Monday.
