The soul of Biafra and the Igboman has been badly and severly battered and deeply traumatized.

What Igbo need is healing, support and acknowledgement. It does not rob us of any value to join hands and do this.

Let us stop the tears...we must heal the spirit! We must listen, and reset 1966!

The 60s were volatile years across the globe. Many nations in Africa were just starting a new experience in the European styled nationhood and had not perfected the peculiarities and intrigues of power and power-sharing amongst new co-owners and thus exhibited their barbarism. Nigeria was in this class.

In some other, Europeans were the barbarics, terrorizing and abusing power to continue monopoly and savagery. South Africa had the Apartheid. A system that segregate whites from non-whites.

Apartheid (Apart-heid) is Dutch word for "separate hood".

In our own Nigeria the treatment of Igbo since the calamity of 1966, followed shortly after by war of 67, has been one of Unity in Separation.

We must forgive and help Igbo heal. It has become accepted to turn loose the police and army on them and watch them harrassed, persecuted and brutalized. It is not only the Igbo that has not healed, the rest of the nation has not healed either and we have not forgiven....so that at every opportunity of a conflict we flash back to the ethnic assassinations of 1966 and then justify a need to exact pound of reprisal attack on Igbo. We are still in pain.

Let's reset 1966!

Here is Mama Africa, Miriam Makeba, with a song from 1966.

Are Igbo's ready to listen to themselves not to talk of outsiders?

Are Igbo's ready to accommodate others sincerely?

Have you seen the Igbo people before having a heart to heart discussion about how to achieve Biafra with different strategy?

Me keep on wondering what Kanu has been doing with all the donation money he has been collecting apart from using it to globetrobe..

Those people he has been meeting are nobody in their countries not to talk of having a say in other country.

Can't the money donated be used to help less privilege Ndigbo ? How about mobilization and sensitization of Ndigbo youths about the cause.

All these sailent questions I asked above are what Igbo's have been afraid to ask

Just watch as how they are going to attack the messenger and overlooked the message

Don't you think those hungry dirty looking Yoruba Agberos need your help the more
And those of your elders who think Human body parts can make them rich
or the natives of those communities in Ogun that have been taken over by Fulani herdsman?

Charity begins at home, you can't help other when you haven't helped yourself

Metaphysical.
Truth is, Igbos are too emotional. Ion know why God created them that way.
Any small joke like this, they might take it personal

They don't have negotiation skill..

I have many of them as friends here in Ondo(majority from Enugu and abia) but whenever we're talking about something.
The proudness or should I call it boasting spirit will enter them..

Let them stop hating other tribes first.
And nothing like Yoruba Muslims and Yoruba Christians...

Yorubas don't hate them, it's just a normal way of catching fun on NL, everything ends here...

I'm beginning to believe that all these Igbo topics here and there on nairaland are for traffic purposes.

If you guys can dedicate same energy you're dedicating on Igbo matters on Nigeria leaders, issues, Nigeria would have been a better place today.

I rather think Nigerians should first heal themselves of boko haram, fulani herdsmen, Almajiri, Area boys than try to heal igbos who appear to have moved on

Metaphysical, even though we all gather to taunt and tease each other, it's not difficult to know you are an intellect of a very high nature.

I read your OP with disgust, not at you but at the whole situation still currently playing out.

It's unfortunate that the Nigeria of your dreams is a pipe dream. There would have been the opportunity for what you propose earlier than now, but not any longer.

The ship has set sail already.

Things fall apart and the center cannot hold.

To make it worse, that which occasioned the civil war is still very much alive and spreading.

See how MB has been raped and conquered by Nigeria in the name of unity, so in as much your demands are good, they are not timely.

Firstly, to hell with unity begging if that might be the motives behind your comments. If I am really wishing to be successful, then it's a must to wish others best in their endeavors

Secondly, why should this thread be about bragado when we are yet to find solutions to the problems on ground?

Yes Igbo support themselves.

Unlike the senseless lot we have here, did you read how OP expatiated on the mannerisms of that era? A wind blowing accros the whole of Africa in that era.

I also admit Igbos need to do more internally than they are currently doing, you obviously don't understand what it means to rise from the ashes of war and hopelessness.

They will get it right, give it time.

Take your help and support, and shove it up your aSS, the Igbo has NEVER and will NEVER solicit for your help. You didn't help us rebuild ourselves from the ashes of one of the most devastating civil wars in African history, we single handedly did.

Go render that help and support to your people in Ogun state whose lands are been taken over by Fulani herdsmen

The other day during Imo SC ruling.. You created a thread appealing to Imolites to take the judgement as it is and moved on .

That's individual contributions I am talking about cos that alone ease lots of tensions

It doesn't have to be about , Nigeria, Igbo or Igala

Audio love existed on Feb 14th as if that was the best cold beer on a sunny day.. Why should will only show love/care 1 day out of 365 days?

The bottom line is we need to change our orientations/mindsets about some certain things in Nigeria.

We too see so many bad things as good . Still don't know why

I speak passable Ibibio and Afemai also. I have long ventured outside my comfort zone to see the world from several different perspectives.
