referandum: The rebellion was not against eastern region because the region is not a republic. The Adaka Boro's foolishness was against the Republic of Nigeria and he was dealt properly. Melford Okilo did not run against Igbo candidate in 1959 election. He ran against Ijo man. In 1962 regional and 1964 federal election, all the candidates who challenged the Niger Delta Congress candidates were all Ijo. It is a manner of treachery to allege that NDC lost to Igbo dominated NCNC while NCNC candidates won elections in Yoruba, Orhobo, Edo, Ibibio, Annag and Efik enclaves. This is the same mischievous intents that saw the likes of Iyalla, Clarke and Briggs sold the birth right of the sons and daughters of the so-called Niger Delta. Today, there are Abuja and Lagos yet no such infrastructure could be seen in the idiotic Niger Delta. It is very shameful the young sons and daughters of this moronic Niger Delta signed to die of cancer by soiling in crude oil bunkering in order to eke out one square meal a day while their counterparts in western and northern regions of Nigeria are jetting around the world as privileged kids of elite politicians from the zones. 3 Likes |

Cherez: So, at the emboldened, I have been discussing with a kid sef!!! Don't you know that ikemba sent the fleeing easterners who came back home from the northern progroms back to the north upon the promise of gowon to protect them and, later on, the same easterners got killed in even huger numbers after they went back to their northern bases?!!! Did Ojukwu pick up arms against the state when he insisted on the aburi accord being honored by the concerned parties?!!! Was it not the entire easterners who mandated him to secede?!!! Has MNK's mouth transformed into nuclear weapons?!!! Draw closer to your dad and definitely you will be the wiser for it?!!! 1 Like |

MONIKERREVEALER:You know nothing about the war than I do. My father went to that war and rose from a cadet to a commander of the squad that confronted the NA at Onitsha & Nnewi and I have first hand information also as my uncle escaped death in Kano cos he could speak an old Bendel language. Your point was that Adaka took up arms and you gave the man no reason. Ojukwu picked up arms too and you're giving reasons for him. What's the difference between you and the herdsmen who justify every of their carnage? Stop lying to yourself; OJUKWU picked up arms against the state when we Igbos got tired of the killings up North and found in him a leader. Oga, there are 3 things we Igbos messed up with, Viz; 1. Fighting Adaka Boro by Ironsi 2. Zik calling for 1 Nigeria when the Northers backed out while Awolowo warned him 3. That 1966 coup which no Igbo leader was murdered So, accept our fault and move on 4 Likes |

imiski:U guys and lies again. If Nigeria as it is today is still this back ward. Then imagine 50years ago, how it would be like. U guys are just plain greedy, when u don't get yr way u say igbos marginalized u. Look at western Delta(Midwest), according to them they were not comfortable with the western region. What did they do? They organized themselves, did a referendum and got an autonomous region. But eastern Delta, went and took up arms and say they want it out, because of according to them marginalization. They couldn't even organize themselves if they say the ijaws are the fourth largest ethnic group and he had endorsement from all ijaws, how come he couldn't summon up to 200 soldiers. U guys shud keep lieing to yourselves thinking you are deceiving anybody 2 Likes |

mrvitalis:Let them keep lieing to themselves. Igbos were the reason for Niger Delta under development. This is over 50years yet Niger Delta is still underdeveloped I guess its still igbos. Before the advent of oil when coal Money was building Port Harcourt and funding a lot of eastern development, igbos weren't saying Niger Delta want our coal, foolish talks. But they discovered oil, in less than 2 years they start talking rubbish. 2 Likes |

WesleyPepper:If u guys keeps making somebody like Ataka boro a mentor, militancy and criminality would never stop in the Niger Delta. Western Niger Delta had issues with western region, they went through the right way and a referendum was held and they got there autonomy. Eastern Niger Delta had issues with the east, the leader goes back home and starts a militant group. The person who used the genuine and legal way of referendum is not remembered but the person who took to militancy is the role model of every Niger Delta... LoL Una never chi chom chin 1 Like |

Cherez: According to the article they claim ijaws are the fourth largest ethnic group, then Boro picks up arms, but could only summon less than 200 soldiers. That alone tells u that the majority of ijaws were not with him. That was not war it was militancy. Were u expecting the Head if government to just fold his arms? If I was the President back then I would still do same, we were even merciful. Same scenario played out during Ken Sato wiwa yet igbos are the bad people 2 Likes |

mrvitalis:This is wrong. Guy stop talking like this, we igbos need an alliance with the north cause it seems we are both owners of Nigeria. Igbos in the sense that we have assets all over Nigeria it would be at our detriment for us to loose all these at the advent if a break up. North in the sense that why loose the south when they have everything to gain In a united Nigerian entity and all to loose if there's a break up. |

WesleyPepper:He is right, Yorubas don't invest outside Yoruba land in Nigeria. Igbos are the only tribe that invest wherever they live and make money freely without being tribal. Igbos are the thread holding Nigeria's unity together, that is why all tribes don't want Igbos to leave Nigeria to have their Biafra. 1 Like |
