Supreme Court Adjourns Hearing Of Ihedioha’s Case To March 2, 2020 by fergie001: 10:22am On Feb 18, 2020
The Supreme Court has adjourned the hearing of former governor of Imo State, Emeka Ihedioha to March 2, 2020.

Mr Ihedioha approached the apex court with an application to reverse itself on the judgement sacking him from office as governor.

The Supreme Court had fixed today to hear the appeal filed by Ihedioha of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), one month after it sacked him on January 14 and declared the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Senator Hope Uzodinma, as the duly elected governor of Imo State.

At the hearing today, lawyer to Mr Ihedioha, Mr Kanu Agabi, filed an application stating that he needs a little time to file some processes before the Court.

Lawyers to Governor Hope Uzodinma and the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) did not oppose the application.

The seven-man panel of the apex court led by the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Tanko Mohammed, after listening to all the parties, adjourned the hearing to March 2, 2020.

Now they realise they need to file more documentary evidence; the documents the didn't know they should have filed from the inception of the case from Tribunal till it was finally determined at the Supreme Court. A case of systematic re-litigating of the case in the guise of review.

IMO Review Panel

Justice Tanko Muhammad

Justice Sylvester Ngwuta

Justice Olukayode Ariwoola

Justice Kudirat Kekere Ekun

Justice Paul Galinje

Justice Amina Augie

Justice Uwani Abba Aji

The same panel that affirmed Uzodinma winner, excepting the fact that Justice Paul Adamu Galinje has replaced Justice Amiru Sanusi (who retired earlier this month)

On the 2nd day of March, the ruling will not last more than 2 minutes. It will read like this.

This case is further dismissed and the reason shall be given at a later day.

Do you think the justice did not know what they were supposed to do when they initially dismissed the case? Even a blind man can see what is going on.

Don't mind them. If they want they should file 100 papers, all of them would be thrown out because their attempt to relitigate the case cannot work.

They can't .....The Supreme Court has only 13...if seven recuse themselves, the panel can't form a quorum.

It must be Seven.
