There is Bollywood, Ghollywood and Nollywood and other unknown 'llywoods' out there.

The term is now used to refer to a country's movie industry than the cradle of American movies itself.

He is right. Nollywood is a meaningless term unlike Hollywood which exists as a physical community with studios, parks and design schools. He is right to express his disaffection because he is a member of that society.
