6 months rent @ 400 AUD/week @250 #2,400,000.00
2 Children school fees for 3 months @350 per child per week #2,100,000.00
A small car estimated at 2500AUD #625,000.00
Visa fee for all 4 family members estimated at #1,600,000.00
Air ticket for all 4 estimated at #2,000,000.00
Logistics #1,000,000.00
Total #19,085,000.00

God forbid, I can't kill myself. The best i can raise out of this amount is only #14,000,000.00

If you are not willing to take the risk, then start a business back home.

The sad honest truth is there is no cheap university in Australia.
Education is generally not cheap in Australia.

Hence the option of your wife coming and settling first.
Best option is you all apply for the visa and get it.
Then only your wife come first, settle down b4 you and kids join her..

Please sir I need your help. I studied chemistry education and want to apply for information technology in Australia (bachelor's degree) but I went to bcie to start the process of application and they advice me not to go for bsc again, if not they will deny me Visa. My question is if I apply for master program can I switch to information technology when I get there? Is that possible?

Nice job oga justwise

@babajigga as an applicant of a streamline uni you enjoy less risk, and you won't be required to submit some documents like English proficiency result, statement of account and I also think visa grants are faster.

Let me share my little experience in Tasmania. I came to this country last year November, Tasmania is a good place to live especially to grow up children. if you are the kind of person like me that hate traffic this might be the best place for you, low population and lovely people. No stress here like other part of the country because of the low population, the weather here is a bit cold and weather changes to different state nearly every hour that is, you cant predict the weather. Some people move to Tasmania mainly because of pr it is very easy here than most places in Australia. Once you work full time for a year, work six months in your field or study here for two years you can apply. One of the major problem most people face here is accommodation simply because movement of people from mainland to tasmania as trigger the price of accommodation and even scares. To get accommodation you will need to have rental history, payslips, water bills and so on which there is no way you can get this if you are new in the city to be honest is very very difficult expecially if you are with family. Job i can say job also is major issue here i worked for just two weeks since i landed last year "fruit picking" very hard job working in the sun for over 8hours. Even till now am still looking for job.

Most people do disability job but you need some license to work in that sector

You can't survive working here without having a car

Pay rate btw 25aud to 32aud some pay less

Rent for single room/ shared apartment from 180-250 per week
For family from 380-600 per week depending on the area Note: No one will give a family with kids a room apartment they give sign rent agreements based on the size of the family

Car from 1000 depending on your taste

Fuel 1.53 per liter depending on the type

We spend 80aud per week myself wife and kid for feeding

To family once you obtain your visa in my opinion let one person come to settle rent and job before the rest move in

To student get the half of the second semester fees job here will not pay second semester

Good evening.
You can go through these(there are numerous online. Please do a proper google search), even though Australia offers more scholarship programs for PhD candidates.

UPDATE SO FAR

Good Evening House.
Recieved this (Natural Justice) earlier today, via the agency I applied with(Document is 3pages. I have blurred out some sections.
Visa application date = 25-November-2019).
I hope this document is unofficial, and please draw my attention if it cannot be shared(here especially).
Was busy, I could not submit the documents quickly, for it to be resolved today.

Submitted Documents:
* Original Copy of WAEC Certificate.
* Certified Copy of WAEC Certificate.
The Agency requested that I purchase a WAEC scratch card.
Did so, and sent.

Please, has anyone encountered this(I pray make person no encounter this kin thing, after me. Could be unsettling), and how best(quickly and successfully) was it resolved.
Suggestions will always be appreciated.

May all our admission and visa efforts not be in vain. Amen.

hi every1, hope you all are doing good today? Please I need your advice because am so confuse right now, I have been researching non stop since last year Dec. I graduated with a 3rd class in microbiology and I want to further or get a masters degree in Australia but I don’t just want to go waste money over there I want to study a pathway course to permanent Residence in Australia. Please will kindly need your advice Thanks
Re: General Australian Student Visa Enquiries Part 3 by opad(m): 11:29pm On Feb 19, 2020
It's possible if Uni gives you admission.
Get good English score IELTS or PTE. Apply to Tier1 schools, not Tier 2.
No harm in trying. You could even apply to those schools without English until they request for it.

With a 3rd class it will be difficult to get a direct masters, but it's possible. You might need to back it up with work experience to receive a direct masters. If you don't have work experience, your best bet would be to get either a packaged graduate certificate + Masters course or a packaged Masters qualifying course + Master.

With regards to degree that would lead to PR, there are numerous occupations on the PR list, however, you need to be aware that the PR process is now more competitive and it's not a guarantee. Gone are the days when if you studied here you are almost guaranteed a PR, but things have changed. There are lots of Nigerian students who have studied here for 2 years and are still unable to secure PR. A lot of them had to relocate to Tasmania, South Australia and Darwin to study another 2 years course in order to receive state sponsorship for PR (Not a guarantee). If you want to choose a state to study, i would recommend you go to regional area, however, be aware that it's difficult finding jobs in regional areas compared to cities in case your plan is to raise part of your tuition fees. Regarding course of study, I would recommend Social work as it's a bit less competitive and it's available on almost all states occupation list. There are also other occupations but you might need to do a bit of research.

Lastly, ensure you do some thorough research prior to proceeding as you will be better prepared for the battle ahead. I wish you all the very best.

Cheers!

If you haven't received your visa after the second week, you will need to differ your admission to the next intake. You will have to request the school to provide a new COE and then update your CO with the new COE.

In the meantime, get everything you need ready just in case your visa drops this week.

Cheers!

Great insight you have shared.

@Jenny1000 if you have experience as a Microbiologist or related discipline, I'd advise you explore the PR route now.

If you are migrating with your spouse as a dependent, is there anything that stops you from working in the city while your spouse schools in a regional area?
Re: General Australian Student Visa Enquiries Part 3 by francisactivate: 8:16am On Feb 22, 2020
Nothing stops you except that you will have to rent 2 different apartment, possibly buy 2 different cars and one of you will need to be travelling home for weekends when you are not on shift.

This can only work if there are no kids because Australia is not like 9ja where you pick your kids late from school or keep them with your neighbors. One of you has to be at home with the kids while the other person is out for work and you guys have to interchange it.

Hi everyone.
I am a Industrial Chemistry graduate with a 2.1 degree. I would like to ask what I should regarding a masters in Aussie. My major problem is fund, I am from a poor family, the little fund I am projecting to get will be gotten from my NYSC which will start next month.

I would like to know my scholarship chances and how I can just beat cost, chances of PR and the course you would advise I should choose for masters?

Forget it you stand no chance .....they total money u can get from your NYSC assuming you save drastically will be around 200k, that can not afford your flight tickets .......
And moreover Australian schools do not offer 100% scholarship for msc students, they might give u some discounts off your tuition fees but not 100% except for phd students.

I will recommend you go for common wealth scholarship program.

U can apply to any course u like as long as it is related to your Bsc course or you have to explain your reason for moving to another discipline if you choose to change your area of study ......and also u need to explain they gap in your study period.

I love your ambition and it’s achievable! Your background shouldn’t affect your aspirations in life. What’s your CGPA?

Try to do the following during your NYSC:

1. Write GRE and IELTS during your NYSC.

2. Build your research skills by writing research papers and publish them in a good Journal.

3. Develop a viable research proposal.

4. Get your transcript and certificates.

5. Get your international passport.

6. Try to participate in one or two community service.

For Australia, you could get research scholarship for masters then you move onward to PhD. Kindly note that it’s difficult to get full scholarship for coursework masters but it’s very possible with research scholarships.

As advised earlier, try to be on look out for Commonwealth scholarships and Chevening.

Lemme elaborate more on research scholarships. You’ll need to check the school department web page for lecturers that have interest in your proposed research.

In preparing the proposal, you need to do an extensive literature review and identify a gap you want to work on.

Organize the proposal according to the following headings as it would help your prospective supervisor understand your work:

• the background

• study problem,

• an overview of the literature on the topic,

• the gap in knowledge,

• research question,

• the specific objectives,

• study methodology and theories to underpin the study

• potential contribution to knowledge and practice and the Significance of the study.

In terms of schools, you can consider the following schools because they have lot of research based scholarships:

RMIT
QUT
Unimelb
Others

Lastly, don’t limit yourself to Australia alone, check other countries like New Zealand, Ireland, UK, etc.

I wish you the very best.
