Let me point a significant thing you're omitting that nullifies your argument.
In all those areas where men kneel to propose to a woman, they don't pay dowry(bride price). In all of Africa, dowry is expected and even demanded including the extra yoking of the man to the girl's family. In this light, I agree with the great actor on the condition that relates to African men.
