Masturbation is an immoral, unclean and a sinful act before God, I was in the bondage of mastrubation for over 10 years without overcoming the sin. Genesis 38:8 And Judah said unto Onan, Go in unto thy brother's wife, and marry her, and raise up seed to thy brother. 38:9 And Onan knew that the seed should not be his; and it came to pass, when he went in unto his brother's wife, that he spilled it on the ground, lest that he should give seed to his brother. 38:10 And the thing which he did displeased the LORD: wherefore he slew him also. It was a secret sin & my friends and family never knew that I was practicing the immoral act, during the period I tried engaging myself into activities that will make me forget or lose desire to it but none worked out, it came a time I determine to stop the immoral act but what happened was it only reduce for a while and I went back to the act fully.

Matthew 12:43 When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest, and findeth none. 12:44 Then he saith, I will return into my house from whence I came out; and when he is come, he findeth it empty, swept, and garnished. 12:45 Then goeth he, and taketh with himself seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter in and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first. From then on I started reading the Bible and praying more. Since over a month I haven't gone into mastrubation & pornography videos.(Roman 12:1-3 )

The act of mastrubation is a sinful boundage, even if you use any tragedy to battle it you will end up going back either days or weeks later. If God can show me love & mercy he his always ready...
