I called the US embassy today! The agent was willing to tell me about the visa ban in regards to k-1 visa but he asked if I have an active case and required my name, passport number and date of birth. My case is closed since my visa has already been issued so I couldn’t proceed! At this point, I suggest that someone with an active case make the call. Here is the number; +234 1 227 8955.

Update: I and a friend I met here picked our passports and accompanying package today! We give thanks to God, and to everyone in this great house! You guys are all good people! LOL!

I'm still in Niger o. Waiting to be interviewed for the K1 as well although i still have my B1/B2 which i use regularly for vacations

Bro I’ll suggest you and your fiancé just take the spousal (CR-1) route because waiting for USCIS to get back you guys might take long and a waste of time too. That’s my 2cents though. Sorry once again

I just called customer service agent, the lady said she can't say if K1 visa is affected by the visa ban because K1 is not an immigrant visa neither is it a full non-immigrant visa, but what she called "Special Non- Immigrant Visa", she said that i should visit the US Embassy in Lagos for clarification

Will it hurt if they are straight forward with their answer? I’ve read that link and like you said the more you read the less you understand.
