I’m not against Igbo presidency. If Rochas or Onu wins APC presidential ticket, I will support him 100%. What I’m advocating for is maintaining the power rotation policy between the south and north.

In 1999, PDP presidential ticket was zoned to the south and Obasanjo, Ekwueme and other southerners contested for it. Obasanjo won. In 2023, the two major political parties should zoned their tickets to the south and we should encourage all interested southerners to contest as it was done in 1999.

1. Rochas and Onu are Bufooons.

2. If APC selects a southern Presidential candidate, PDP will select a Northern candidate if they are smart, (they have shown in the past with the selection of Obi as VP they are not smart). If APC selects a Nothern Candidate, PDP will select a Northern candidate to split the northern vote. Either way PDP is selecting a Northern candidate...that is the smart move for PDP, regaining power is already an uphill task for them without making tactical errors like 2019..

Nigerian presidency is not by having political weight. it is by those with political weight deciding you are their man. Nobody except possibly Buhari has become president on his own political weight and even then he had to join forces with another political juggernaut after failing 3 times despite his political "weight". Even those who had weight that fell foul of the the real people with weight never lived to be sworn in...Abiola. If anything Osinbajo is more known now that many of the people who eventually became president.

Not since the days of Zik, Awo and Sardauna has any Nigerian had grassroots political clout like Buhari and after he is gone, there is no one with the political weight to climb to the presidency on his own recognition, therefore his successor will be anointed as is usually the case. If the powers that be say you are the one, then you are the one and they will back you witjh THEIR political machinery and you will become president!!! Shagari, Obasanjo, Yaradua, GEJ......none of them had political weight, they were chosen and they became president.

1999 was the first time, 2003 was the second. The point is, PDP zoned it ticket to the south and every interested candidates from the south contested.

Yorubas made Jonathan so we were not interested in contesting against him in 2015.

In 2023, APC will zone its presidential ticket to the south and Yoruba candidates will contest because its the right thing to do.

What qualified Yoruba for PDP ticket in 1999? They were given the ticket in the spirit of equity and fairness because of 1993 election. So in the same spirit of equity and fairness they should give Igbo APC ticket because there are Igbos that have stood with APC from the very beginning.
