What qualified Yoruba for PDP ticket in 1999? They were given the ticket in the spirit of equity and fairness because of 1993 election. So in the same spirit of equity and fairness they should give Igbo APC ticket because there are Igbos that have stood with APC from the very beginning.

First, Abiola had won the presidential election in 1993 but was denied the presidency until he died. So it was a good ground for the PDP ticket in 1999.

Second, Ekwueme didn't see things that way as he chose to slug it out with Obasanjo for the PDP ticket in 1998/1999 and 2002/2003. And nobody stopped him. He lost!

So nobody gave Yoruba the ticket.

In 2023 just like 2015, nobody will stop Igbos from contesting for the APC presidential ticket...It's just that they will not win...

Personally, Nigeria is a doomed country, I really do not care for the permutations or who evolves. Sentiments on who becomes president are just sentiment...the truth is it does not make a difference to your life. All that changes is it produces a new set of millionaires. Most of the people shouting up and down will never see a penny even if the presidency comes to their region.

The only thing that winds me up is the Ibo sense of entitlement.
