And your dad did no sacrifice?.....You would have given him 5k and give your mum 95k,may your children apply the same sense you are applying now, when you get old
Yeah, karma isn't foolish. If I treat my children like my mom treats me there won't be need for your useless prayer.

Some people here are just getting worked up over another persons choices and experience, FYI not all fathers provide as is often assumed, and not all women spend their money on buying wrappers I work with a lot of women with children and I see how this women prioritise their spending because of their families. The era of sole providers is fast going and most families are provided for by both parents, most people from polygamous families would choose their mothers because their fathers often have a lot on his plate and this leaves their mothers with no option but to ensure her kids survive. Those who have good fathers will say so as seen in some comments those who didn't will also say so vice versa,no one size fits all. If you're a good father there's nothing to be afraid of your children are not blind and will take care of you when the need arises.Determine to be present in your children's lives and they'll sing your praises forever.

There are gender roles no matter the excuses you make for the inequality. Women bond with their kids even right from the womb and fathers are just introduced. Without the toil of the father, the child has no future. It's the duty of a good wife to always make the children understand that their father is the bedrock of the family.

A dad gave his wife money to get clothes for the children, ask the children afterward who got them the clothes, its always mummy. A wise woman would create a balance for the children to acknowledge their dad.

or do you expect daddy to explain to his children he provided the clothes...oh no, he's out again looking for what they'll survive on next.

Muma gets 80 dad gets 20. The reason behind this ration is that, the money given to Mum would be spent on my younger ones while dad will use his shear to fend for himself fighting Boko boys

@vizkid: I hope you have a passionate response for the poster above on why he should give his mom something.

@Johnnyspute: the quoted post is an example why it is not an equality something.

It is who deserves/needs it more.
if it is a must I must give my mum I will rather give her share to my step mum

I will give my mom 40k and my dad 60k. Because, my dad is wise at spending.

If you were to share 100k between your parents, how much will each get? And why?

Me, I will give mom 70k and 30k to dad. Reason is, Mom needs a little more love for her enormous sacrifices. Woman has starved and done a lot of strenuous jobs to keep us going

I will tell my children to love us equally when they grow up. In terms of materials or cash, it should be 50-50. My husband provide almost all the basic things for his children, even though I also contribute together with my motherly love towards them, it will be unfair for my husband not to enjoy the labour of his children after his sacrifices. He deserve to be treated like a king in his old age.

It is not difficult to identify a bastard nowadays.

Just take a look at these kids undermining the post of a father in their lives. The system has so much brought down the role of a father. Making him look like a figure head. Praising the mother alone.

Little wonder we have so many days assigned to praise women and just a day to notice the value of a man (Father’s day). Most times the Father’s Day come and go without anyone noticing it

Same father who worked all his life to take care of his family? Same father who will risk his life day and night just to put food on the table? Same father who paid your fees from the very first day you were born till you started earning your own money? Same father who put a roof over your head and even assigned your own room? (No wonder men die early)

Only for him to be cheated again when he is to reap the fruit of his Labour. Little wonder most of you are cursed. It is because you have offended God and man by being a fool.

Just take a look at the cheap gold-digging girls we have nowadays. All they do is look for a ready made man. So after having kids for that guy, those unfortunate kids will rather take care of her than their father who has worked for money all his life?

What happened to 50:50? To hell with you simpletons.

My mum has done a whole lot for me and I’ll do anything just to make her happy but my dad (bless his soul) deserves as much love and happiness.

Even the 50:50 sef, my dad will still buy gifts for mum from that money. I understand most of you are not from stable homes sha...Una dey use una family problem judge the matter.
My thoughts exactly..
Thanks Bro

But they were sharing stuff from their personal lives, so why the anger and rant? Why invalidating that? Did you grow up with them? Lived their childhood and teen years?

You're also projecting and judging the case by what you experienced. No problem there. No problem in what others said too.

Just too emotionally vile. Took a swipe at women, and going off on unrelated tangents.

Your sharing formula is good, part of it will still go into the family feeding

Don't be surprise your dad's own will finish before your mum's own, even without a penny being dropped at home
