1.The type of screening the South Africans are doing is the same type of screening the Nigerians are doing...which is checking for temperature, the difference being that the SA people are doing it in the plane. Nigeria does it when you come in.

2.Either way, both methods won't stop the virus. The only way to see if someone is infected is by doing a blood test(Because asymptomatic patients would pass the screening test). Already, facilites are on ground to test for the virus.(for once the Ministry of Health was prepared in that regard).

3.For now, the best that can be done is to isolate every contact, and isolate every contact of every contact.....which is not going to be easy.

4.Don't panic.

You are responding emotionally not rationally to that dude. He brought up serious points, there is a reason recently most countries quarantines everyone on a ship if one single person is sick. The incubation period should be accounted for once a person is suspect.

Also someone in the screenshot above said he came in from Germany and was not screened. Obviously the government is trying but more needs to be done especially in educating people.

What makes one a suspect is high body temperature and if the man wasn't having any symptoms when he arrived, there was no reason to suspect or quarantine him.
