At a dumpsite located along Court Road, Gyadi-Gyadi, Daily Trust reporter caught up with 12-year-old Auwal Mohammed. Auwal, an almajiri, says “Since the state government does not want to see us on the streets, this is the only option available to us. We glean through this refuse dump for anything that could be of use to us either as food or clothing. The north should accept restructuring and focus on the problems of the northern youth. Unhealthy birth control coupled with religious culture is contributing to more poverty in the north. Emir of Kano, Lamido Sanussi has spoken about this issues but majority of the elites up north do not want to give him a listening ear. So long as they keep day dreaming over crude oil those young ones will continue to eat from the garbage bin. NORTHERN YOUNG MEN HAVE TAKEN OVER STREET OKADA ( MOTOR CYCLE RIDING BUSINESS ) IN MOST OF THE TOWNS IN THE SOUTHERN PART OF NIGERIA. This seems to suggest the extreme nature of poverty in the north. Meanwhile, the Buhari government is promoting nepotism to the highest order favouring his northern brothers and sisters with juicy federal government positions. |

The north is destroyed beyond repair and it will take the new generation of northern Nigeria 50 years more to compete with the southern counterparts. But every thing biafra is here |

Arrewa:you see that woman breaking stone is into big business, the beauty of it is that she will use the money earned from the stone business to get quality education and build a great future, unlike Hausa/fulani that will end up not giving the child education, creating more abject poverty for his people. Arewa is a doomed region. |

Arrewa:Nobody is competing with you. You can't compete with nonsense. Your society is built on rotting foundations, as long as the family structure is the way it is. Go and teach your people to raise their children. |
