we went to the ministry for our own and we were told that approval for the ratification is not possible for now... The land is under global acquisition. But the surveyor who did the survey plan told us it can be done and that they need to meet the buyer and seller at the ministry to get it done.

How true can this be?

Because it seems Nigeria has plunged to despicable depths that Almost no one can carry out legit Business Transactions online but it’s sad because We spend a great deal of useful time online and It’s relatively easier compared to the old way of doing things.

Land issue in Nigeria is a very delicate issue. It is not something u do online otherwise na sorry to go be ur name.

Very true, that’s why it has been hard for me to sell my land on all possible Online Outlets in Nigeria. But how about the legal structures, Like come with your lawyer, Doublecheck eveything and even have a next of kin so if you die, the land still stays with your family?

people want to buy land but they may not have money. While those with money may have bought already. It's not easy to sell things like land, cars,..

The real estate business is one that is structured on years of relationships. I once read of a guy who spent the first 5 years building relationships with people and later one he started making sizeable sales in sold property.

yes, the surveyor that did the survey plan is the one telling us it can be done. He has no idea that we have been to the ministry.

Most land buyers rely on recommendations from someone who knows the realtor but then all those chain of middle men will increase the amount spent on that piece if land. The world is changing, Nigeria has to change whether She likes it or not. Court order still stands so why not get your lawyer and do every necessary investigation?

the property sold to u might have been in court before that person sold it out. Where is the property situated? If Ogun State mail me. What are the document given to you as at the time of purchase.

I feel your pain bro. I'm a practising lawyer in Ota/Ifo jurisdiction and versed in land related issues there. It's quite unfortunate that the land sold to you was in court while you purchased it. The seller was wicked. This is why you need lawyers for land search. The suit number is a clear indication. Use the suit number to do your confirmation. Best regards.
