This Google earth shows the entire Ibadan. It is very clear that Ibadan is a large scale slum. Plan less jungle

Yorubas have an advantage of having their ancient cities intact while Igbos lost much of theirs to the civil war which prompted the hurried development of multistorey residential buildings across most Southeast cities. Ibadan will never have multistorey residential layouts like Aba and Onitsha simply because there is enough land for expansion. Oyo State alone is more than 70% the size of Southeast but with just a population of less than 10 million as against 40 million Igbos. Ibadan city is almost equal in landmass to all 5 major cities of Southeast combined. By this I mean Onitsha, Aba, Enugu, Owerri and Abakaliki.
