Guyz. Pls advice me on what to do

My visa application was refused last year so I applied for a refund in early January through my agent. Up till now I'm yet to receive my refund. The school keeps saying the refund is been processed and my agent keep telling me to be patient. The owners of the fund have been asking too many question I can't answer. It like I've received and spent the money.

Abeg is this delay normal.

Hi, they judge on the merit of your application. However, it's very important you state all previous refusals in your app. Failure to do that will lead to refusal when they finally detect. I hope this answers your question.

Thanks, it answers the questions

Whoops! .. Its been a sweet and wonderful experience here in Dublin this past 6 weeks..

Finally wanna share my my embassy experience and my trip to Dublin, my GNIB and PPS,
processing experience.

I remembered I started following this thread around September when preparing to make and submit my visa application which was a join spouse visa.

I gathered all documents by end of November, 26th 2019 to be precise and headed to the VFS office at Lekki early momo that day.. The process of submission was smooth though except the photocopies I made at 50 naira per page which was so so annoying, so I will advise u guys make all your photocopies before heading to VFS office, those guys there are rogues with no pity at all.

After submission, ehen! Embassy palava come start.

This is the gist! My wife got a job as a Nurse in Ireland, she left for Ireland July 2018 after a week we got married.. Came visiting me in Nigeria in May 2019 for 4 weeks during her annual leave . So she went back to Ireland pregnant with our boy .

So my basis of application was to join her and be with her during her delivery to welcome our son bla bla bla!.

My wife was due for delivery, 2nd week in February and and my planned date of departure in my application was January 1st 2020.

Haaa! Irish Embassy gave me tough time ooooo.. I called and called and called this people all to be giving me gist my application will take between 6 months and 12 months.. I was like Whaaaat! You mean i won't see my son until he is one or what are you guys saying. The annoying part is you can only call them between 10am-12 noon Mon - Thursday and to get them u will dial over 50 times..

Well, all thanks to my wife she was relentless, she approached her Doctor, Midwife and Social worker.. So they all gave reference letters.. I bombarded the Embassy with the letters via Email.. Still no response as at January 15th 2020.

Well i just told my wife this guys ain't forthcoming and not sure we will be together soon. This babe cry ehn! And kept saying let's not accept . The last time she went for her clinic before delivery, her midwife saw how she was all looking not happy and sad, and wrote another letter again oo, this one handwriting sef not even type to send to embassy cos they can't call the embassy to interfere in visa aplication but only write to them..

Na so I forward the letter again to Irish Embassy ooo, and called them again.. But luckily for me there was this pleasant lady that picked my call that day after almost 100 times of dialing before reaching them.. She felt for me and said you know what, I should send another reminder mail instantly, that there is someone in the office presentlythat she will forward the mail to. All this was around January 21st ooo..

I forwarded another reminder mail with faith and hoping to hear from them, I was still informing my wife with what the lady at embassy dey yan and consoling her that will be fine without me there.

It wasn't up to 30 mins, just got a mail back from the embassy that my wife GNIB was to expire 22nd January 2020 and i should send her renewed GNIB card as soon as possible ... Told my wife instantly she said ewooooo! She had forgotten her GNIB was expiring in 2 days and booking appointments for GNIB can be war.. At least you have to start checking GNIB site 2 months before your residence permit expires to book for renewal..

To be continued later..... Baby crying

I can't quote a certain price for accommodation because this depends on your preference and budget but I can say it ranges from 400 and above, depending on the location as well.

DBS makes payments in less than 5 weeks . They may probably be having problems with your bank. You may email them clarifying if they are facing challenges with your bank details or is there any other reason why the refund is being delayed. Try and be polite when addressing them as well.

If you need the email let me know. Cheers

Morning All,

I had a discussion with Ciaran Coakley of Griffith College and He suggested that if anyone applying to them states Nairaland as their source while completing the online Application, they will be provided a designated Advisor for visa support all free of charge.

Strictly for Griffith College applicants at the moment.

Cheers

Average wait time for study visa is 8 weeks,I waited 13 weeks for mine. Check the Irish embassy site for the average wait time for a tourist visa. I'd suggest you wait for the decision though. From my experience, if they wanted to deny you they would have..... you've waited this long already, stay positive.
Since u applied already in 3 months in advance, that’s Okay..it’s two things,it’s either the embassy may be busy will lots of application,or ur documents are taking time for them to verify..is it a single application or family? Ur application decision will be on the discretion of the Consular Officer, you can still be given if u meet the requirements provided u applied in 3 months in advanced to ur proposed trip.Thats Okay. I want to ask something because I am new with Ireland VFS. It’s been 2 weeks now I applied for Ireland visa..I noticed in my Schengen and Canada previous visa application,VFS do send me mails after 2 or 3 days of submission that my passport is on transit to those embassy, and that my application is been processed at the embassy. My Ireland submission has been up to two weeks now and there is nothing on my mail..I know u should know about this since u applied for Ireland visa, did VFS send u a mail when days after ur submission? ..please help me out, what do u think I should do before it gets late..my application is already closed to my proposed date of visit and I don’t see any mail on gmail that my passport is been processed..What should I do?

So I contacted the school and they told men they've refunded the money in the same January I applied for it and requested I visit my banking provider.

Lo and behold the useless bank have been sitting on my money for almost two months without informing me or crediting my account. Next thing they were say was that I should write a letter requesting for the fund and even have the gut to tell me that I would not receive all the money because interest will be charged on it.

After using my money for business

I'm sure they know what they are doing in that bank

Thank you ICaSNg though
