IT DEPENDS ON WHAT YOU WANT. TRAFFIC ON THE GENERAL IS FAR MORE HECTIC IN LAGOS THAN AT ABUJA. IN TERMS OF COST OF LIVING, LAGOS IS A BETTER OPTION (REMEMBER YOUR QUESTION WASN’T VICTORIA ISLAND, LAGOS OR MAITAMA, ABUJA). IN LAGOS THERE SEEMS TO BE MORE HUSTLE OPPORTUNITY ON THE GENERAL. i worked for a company that just entered the Nigerian market in the real estate industry. when they came down to do their research to know how to come in, they went to Abuja and then to Lagos. coming in, you know where they decided to start from? your guess is as good as mine. there are more houses in Abuja high brow areas that are unoccupied because there are not too many people with the money to buy or rent it.

that they decided to first focus on the Lagos market tells you a lot. remember these are business men who consider business factors not the ill informed so called posh culture in Abuja, which in my opinion is just pure poverty. no wonder the place is morally bankrupt

It all depends in all we are all looking for in our neighbourhood. Both Abuja and Lagos have their advantages and disadvantages. The choice is yours.

Well I've not been to Abuja before, but one thing I can assure u is that if you are not gonna live on LAGOS ISLAND then , 10 years have been reduced from ur life span if u live for mainland ( save IKEJA to some extent)....

But I'm sure that the electricity in places like asokoro and maitama should be atleast 20 hours daily.

As for places like banana island and lekki In Lagos, I'm more concern about flood because recently i discovered that most rich people and billionaires that have houses in those areas are most part of the year don't stay in the country.

Abuja is relatively safer than Lagos especially if you're staying around Asokoro or Maitama. Moreover we have more security agents located in those places as a result of their proximity to the Presidential Villa and National Assembly. Places like Lekki, VI and Banana Island in Lagos are also owk if you can afford an apartment there. However, you will always need to be extra security at alert. More so Lagos is also a nice place for beach picnics, shows, and a lot of fun if you are the type that loves to hangout.
But I will always prefer Abuja to Lagos. Just get your own power supply and air-condition your house from the constant heat.

I have never been to Abuja before. But if you choose to stay in Lagos, you have to stay in in a place that is Central- not far from your office or business.

Uncle Abuja is not boring. You don't just know your way. It may be boring during day time because most people go to work. But it is very interesting at nights and at weekends.

I believe Thier choice is after considering the population, number of homeless people ( housing deficit), and competition (number of estates). which favours Lagos. however, that doesn't mean Lagos is a better place to live compared to Abuja. I don't know if you understand that

The stress here is unbelievable, I got home by 9:30 pm after closing and leaving vi by 5pm.

Proximity to work place really matters... so do not even spend 30mins on their way home...

Lagos is the safest place in the whole of Nigeria. No one get your time. Everyone is hustling....

You can drive around at any hour of the day. People move as early as 4am in the morning no wahala.....

From your Requirement, forget Lagos come to Abuja. Even though No city in Nigeria is upto 90% secured but you can't compare Abuja and Lagos in terms of security. Low traffic is also a plus for Abuja
