Got to 20 trips to be on 3% uber sent me msg that I’m flagged for fraud. I didn’t do any fraud. I don’t think any one reported me either. I never had quarrel with no one. Is it just for this week I won’t be on 3% ?
You might have taken a very short trip

Dru23 can you see this?

Your point of view most times irks me!
You're so self centered!

I don't drive, infact I'm based in Ado Ekiti.
But your point of views varying from ehailing, to vehicle sales, to vehicle maintenance and even your oil business are so wack and very non pragmatic. You're not open to ideas, you see yourself as some kind of island. It's just crazy.

Why will you be making snide comment about drivers getting rest?? You're just....... I don't know.

Reply me with meme as per toothless tiger wey you be, I don't care!

God save your king!

This forum has turned to something else. It is not a do or die affair to be part of this business. If it works for you, fine. If it doesn't find something else to invest in. Too many insults, arguments, discouragement, most people have their own experiences, what works for A might not work for B. Allow other people have their own experience for themselves.

Lately me (dru23). has been getting bashed regards to uber driver needing rest. I do not have issues with drivers resting..

One thing the people doing the bashing have to understand is that am running a business. Has a business man, I have duties and responsibilities. Most of guys don't know how partners get loans to start this business, nor do you guys care.

People have to know that every jobs comes with is own risk. Cops, firefighters, teachers ,street hawkers, bankers ,business men, oil ring workers, truck drivers etc. The most important thing is for you to know what you are getting yourself into. And some profession will require you to work long hours. And some jobs will take time away from your family. But it is up to the individual to figure out how they are going to navigate those risks or challenges.

It is not my job to help you figure it out for you . My job as a business man is to provide the tools for you to do your job...

Health issues and taking time off. I don't have issues with anybody taking time off. If you need to take time off to rest or attend to personal issues . Yes, take the time off. I have no issues with that, but when it gets to a point that your time off or personal issues starts to affect my business, than we have to part ways ...

You can't expect a business owner to be giving you time off all time and than expect them to hold your position for you till you come back.

Conclusion: As a business man , am here to run a business, am not a charity organization. Am not here to help solve people's issue.

As a business man I will need to put my emotions aside and do what is right for my business. And you also as an employee you will need to do what is right for yourself.. Just because I run a business does not mean I have the funds to be generous to every employee.

To the ones out their bashing me and calling me names. Transport business is a very tough business. Has an investor you have to be tough as the drivers. Till today a former driver is still owing me over 100k naira. He knows who he is , and my last driver owes me 100k naira. The last driver was telling me he has three kids money is tight, etc. So with those loses what account would I write those loses to ?

Again am here to run a business and if people don't like how I do things .. They can always go to the bank and take out a loan . And than run their own business.. Transport business is a tough business and I have to be on my toes at all times...

He remits 30k weekly and does 10k repairs.

The 20year is a grown man. Please stop making excuses for him .Nobody put a gun to his head, and the slavery part does not add up bro.. They are jobs out there other than uber that the man can do....

And one thing you fail to understand, they way you pity this man . A lot of drivers will not pity car owners.. You seem to be looking from one angle..

And what do you think weekly rental should be? You seems to be advocating something that will be fair .. But what you don't get is that no matter how low rental is ,most drivers will still give excuses not to meet up.

Transport business is a very tough business, you have to be as tough as the people you dealing with. Example for instance, I do all my repairs both major and minor. And I ask for 30k weekly delivery.. Upon all my fairness driver still owes me money,. The last driver owe me.over 100k naira. I keep giving him chance to meet up ,I just kept quiet .. And finally I collected my car from him. He kept telling me he three kids and another baby. So what am I supposed to do.

I started this business 2 years ago. Today I have 8 cars. You have been a blessing to me and I have learnt a lot from you. This is supposed to be business, no sentiments at all. Most drivers are heartless. Give a driver a brand new mint car not tokunbo o and tell him to remit 10k weekly, some drivers will still default. Doing business in the country is tough. The hardest part of doing business in Nigeria is getting honest employees. Dru keep doing what your're doing. Most drivers here will hate you for saying the truth.

Some of you will come here and bluff. You are managing those cars for people, they're not entirely yours.
In as much as i wouldn't like to comment on how partners should manage their drivers remittance and asking them to take time off, i feel we should stop hyping this business. If its peak periods (October -December), i won't argue if anybody come here and say he made so so & so legitimately. But if you're a driver on rental or HP, please, take good care of yourself, look good, eat well (at least 2 solid square meals) and try to blow off steams, if you know what i mean *winks*

Welcome back brother, long time.
With 30 you handle all the repairs? That's very okay, You're a good man bro, seriously.
Lots of partners knows nothing about the business, they just push in a car and put the whole thing on the jobless driver.

That 20 years old driver is a petroleum engineering graduate with second class upper, no job bro.

Mr ITK you seems to know it all don't you? Go read and understand the true meaning of "justice".

The aim is not how much is being spent chasing after justice but for justice to take its real cause.

No matter the case may be stealing is stealing no matter how little. The same penalty given to him that stole N500 is the same a judge will give to him that stole a billion dollar.

Go scam a SAN of N1000 and see how he uses you as a specimen of the law.

Certain things you let go, if you want help in retrieving money from riders l think N400 is a good amount to begin with

Talking about health.

Guys lets always take out time to have a day or some days off after doing some days drive. Driving can be Very stranous couple with the bad energy one encounters on the daily especially from taxify riders.

Lately, I've notice some nasty and crazy attitude also from uber riders as well. All of these put together couple with the sleepless night during the week ends one can easily fall I'll if care ials not taken.

Last Saturday, I was dosing while driving on the lekki epe exp way and my rider was seating comfortably atbthe back seat thinking everything was ok, the request won't stop coming but immediately I ended the trip I just went offline, parked somewhere safe and slept off.

The headache is anothing one can't finish talking about.

Yesterday on my way to Benin seating in the front seat, I said let me take a nap the driver just said bros no ooh na me and you dey drive this motor ooo if you sleep me self fit fall asleep ooh. I was like i understand. That was how we started gisting and he exposed to me how dosing on steering has killed a lot of his collegues while some are seriously ill due to stress and inadequate rest after a long drive.

So Guys, this is not an issue one has to over emphasise. Tell your car partner you need some day off, its for the safety of you, your health, your rider, the other person driving in the road and even the pedestrians, the car and property.

Take out That time to rest today and save yourself the sorry case that may arise tomorrow

May God bless our hustle.

Very sensible advice, it’s very easy to get burnt out in this job, take time off, holidays or go partying, or the job will start to disgust you.

Let me chip in a bit.. This is a business and these business is not for everyone... partners do have a responsibility of their own. Some partners have to pay back loan etc..

That been said, if you are working in a corporate environment in a developed country.. Your boss or manger can give you a certain amount of time to deal with personal issues that might have . You are given sick days vacation days etc.. But once it gets to a point personal issues affects the business. Than your manger will have to decide what is important you or the business.

Business Ethics .. All businesses or business owners should practice this. But not to the point that it collapse the business.. Yes things are tough and it can also be tough for business owners..

If you on UBER rentals, you still have to pay rent sick or no sick, rent has to be paid

Sir how does this sound like a complain? Dont have sabbatical at your place of office

Top ogas go on leave once every 3months, some twice in a year while some once yearly that doesnt include public holidays, weekends and sick leaves or maternity leaves.

So why won't a driver who is conveying people about on a daily bases go on a compulsory leave?

If a driver rents your car and get involve in an accident then after thorough investigations it was discovered he slept while driving who do you think loses? Him alone?

Oga think we'll biko
A responsible driver will know how to plan his driving time and still be up to date with his rent

We have truck driver, school bus driver, Limo driver, shuttle driver (used at the airport) Mass transit driver , party bus driver, designated driver , Formula one race driver, etc ... do you have low self esteem? All these forms of drivers are jobs abroad, some you even need a certificate for like truck driving... Omo it seems like you have a big ego
no mind some myopic people, the President's driver can feed dia whole village for ages.
