You need to change your mentality. It’s ok to get inspired and wanna do well financially so you live a comfortable life, but nothing is worth more than you. All this material things will fade away eventually. I don’t care about material things, if I can afford a certain thing fine if I can’t it’s not the end of the world. I just wanna wake up everyday and be grateful for life and all the blessings.

The problem here has nothing to do with hate or jealousy.

It has to do with new conspicuous spenders. We've always have rich people in Nigeria but never has Nigerian been the poverty capital of the world.

In those days when you see a beautiful house, you pray and work hard so that when you get OLDER, you would be able to afford those luxuries.

Today, even people of questionable means go on social media to spite the poor claiming they are thanking God in the porverty capital.

We used to call them Omo Aijoberi. That is, never seen anything good in their lives.

A man that thought he was doing well until he went to Banana Island is an example of how you create dissonance in the community. If he knew those doing better work twice as hard, he would want to work harder. But when you see money launderers, politicians, ritualists and drug peddlers spiting you, you want to do the same.
