Notice the same questionable pattern between Ebonyi state borders and cross rivers. Who did these maps? They need to be taken to either a mental hospital or to hell fire just be being unnecessarily wicked.

nna,you are only concentratin on river....
the big issue is the people in this areas....

i wouldnt bother....
you would be shocked to find out, your problem is not the goverment per se but the people that are in the goverment....

I am focused on both the people and the geography.

What nigeria government did to igbos after the civil war is not different from what the colonialist did to Africans after the Berlin conference.

They forcefully separated igbo villages and clans and push them to other states for easier exploitation of their resources.

I have been exploring google maps and i cannot come to terms with the state lines drawn around the south east.

The state line between:

Imo state and rivers state doesn’t make sense.

Abia state and rivers state doesn’t make sense.

Ebonyi state and cross river state doesn’t make sense

Arochukwu areas of Abia state and cross river state and Akwa ibom is very questionable.

Anambra north and kogi doesn’t make sense

Enugu and Ebonyi northern areas doesn’t make any sense.

Whomever drew those map after the civil war and during state creation really really really hated igbos and wanted to desperately limit their geography in the future Nigeria. This is why you have igbos clans forcefully carved into neighboring states. This is injustice and pure wickedness

I urge everyone to study those boundaries on google map and tell me if those lines make any sense.

You're not making any sense.

Thank you.

But the same Nigerian government said no victor and no vanquished. I won’t go further into the war because it will change the purpose of this thread.

There are so many igbos in the south south. Majority of those igbos never chose to be placed there. But they are there and that is the reality.

There is no ethnicity called south south. It’s a politically motivated creation for convenience.

Even the current Nigerian constitution doesn’t even mention or recognize geopolitical zones as governing entities.

Bro there is nothing in Nigeria that makes any sense. The boundaries were drawn to either deny certain states the crude oil well or add crude oil wells to states that do not have any. Ondo State remains the typical example of the states that inherited crude oil wells from the draconian boundary adjustment. Nigeria is worse than fake news.

Yes I get your point. We lost a war so it right that our people and land are divided as a war booty. I get what you are trying to say.

But you think after all that wickedness from my supposed fellow country men, in addition to defending the injustices against my people, I should still love the country?

Only a mad person will do that.

In reality the south east was made to be a small geopolitical zone after carving out parts of it and adding it to other states.

I am bringing up the injustice and all you can say is you lost a war. You think Nigeria will ever make progress with such attitude?

You keep making the same error speaking of south south people as a monolithic united group. To make it worse even worse, igbos are strongly part of it.

The reality is that south south doesn’t exist. Once oil based economy is over, everyone there will focus on their fathers land.

We know the reason south south even exist as a political grouping.

Try and take a single square inch of land from River state and see how Wike and Ikwerres will rubbish you. Let alone Benue, Akwa-Cross and Kogi. Instead of you to focus of developing the SE region you are here talking about phantom Igbo land outside of SE.

I know it’s common for everyone in Nigeria to issue useless threats left and right. It’s fine with me, if that strokes your ego. But this thread was about pointing out the anomaly in the Nigerian system of boundaries creation.

I am yet to find anywhere where I suggested any war or fighting for any land.

But one Thing you need to understand is that igbos are people who have proven themselves when I comes to fighting.

The other two majority groups know what we are capable of if we decide to go all out.

If any minority group threaten our very existence, we will take care of them.

But in the meantime let’s continue with one Nigeria. After all igbos are milking it without any reservation.

So nice for you to notice. Carving up of Igboland to emasculate it after the civil war was a task given to one justice Nasir, and he did his best to carve, splinter, butcher, and kill Igbo spirit!

the people that drew that map are obviously mischievous. the state boundaries r rubbish...

when you examine closely the map of USA, Australia or even Kenya you'd understand that Map of Nigeria is a joke of the century

Warri doesn't share any boundary with Ndigbo, yet you're ranting and hot under the collar about the theme of the thread! You caught the imposter red handed.

Good job.

This is the problem with igbophobia and igbo-obsession. Even those who are suffering badly in this Nigeria, exploited for their resources and massacred monthly by Fulani herdsmen still care so much about what igbos are doing?

I never understood this igbophobia and obsession for igbo people among Nigerians. Everyone is just watching closely to see what igbos are saying or doing to the point of ignoring their own problems.

You guys should look up and copy Greater Idaho movement. Oregon residents are trying to secede and join Idaho. They got an Initiative on the ballot.

It's not threat nor ego strokes. Try and take one inch of Ikwerre land from rivers state and you will see the red eye of Ikwerre people like Wike and Amaechi. I am sure this will unite wike and Amaechi.

No one gives away lands acquired through purchase or war easily, without a fight. Fights over lands can last decades or even millenia.

You mean you can take on the two majority groups and the minorities as well?

This why people say you guys like empty chest beating. The south east is not in a position to fight the whole country. Your territory is too tiny, too congested and too isolated. You lack natural defenses like mountains and swamps.

You are now talking. It's through economic, educational and technological domination that the igbos can impose themselves on Nigeria and not through all these gra gra.
