wirinet: I see what you did there. You are hoping on the whole country to team up and fight igbos just like it did during the civil war. But if you read my response to that imposter, you will notice it was what a minority group would do to the igbos by themselves. By the way the igbos have faced almost the whole country in the past and the war lasted 3 years. Don’t get too delusional to the point of forgetting history. Igbos won’t start a fight with anyone but of it comes to us, we are not scared of it. 2 Likes |

Blue3k:OK have you examined the map, state line between both states?? Idaho and Oregon. then come bkk compare it with the mediocrity we call map here.. if Oregon wanna join Idaho it's fine, here m talking about clear geography not ethnics and political nonsense we call map, which is not even justifiable. the map is just bias. well for now nothing can be done, but in future maybe not in this generation, something definitely will be done about it. 1 Like |

Ojiofor:Funny, I don't see Yorubas complaining that gowon was anti Yoruba when he gave Edo and Delta Midwest regions, why would you now say he is anti Igbo by listening to the minorities and giving them old Rivers State and old cross river State, the only argument you can have there is that some Igbo villages were carved out of the South East without due consultation of those people, unless you're saying it's anti Igbo because he separated the ibibios, ijaws, efiks, annangs, ogonis etc from you guys to give them a sense of representation, and this state creation was done before ojukwu even declared Biafra. 3 Likes 1 Share |

Grgton: Lol all you guys do is whine and say platitudes. Hopefully the next generation will do something to resolve their issues instead just blowing hot air. You guy clearly wont get anything done. You're talking about geography being sole factor of determining state boundries when its not. It clearly wasn't in the united states. None the history you guys mention matters if the people dont care to be governed by SE states again. 1 Like |

This write up is total poo; .Imagine someone saying obi local government in Benue is IBO that are the indegenous people there FYI: most boundaries are well and carefully made but you need to put into cognisance some land marks why some states aren't where they should be; 1.Asaba ideally should be in anambra state but the water 2.Kwara south and central and kogi west should normally be in the south west but geographical they are in the middle belt 3.Oron nation are ideally supposed to be in cross rivers state but because of the water that separates them **...fyi, not all igboid sound like names are Igbo's Ikot okoro Nwaniba etc 1 Like |

0m0nnakoda: You have time for those charlatans. The delusions of grandeur in his tone is megalomania on overdose. The talk below is why Igbos are hated passionately. They respect no one and have disdain, based on absolutely nothing, for everyone. Left to me, I would be happy for them to leave and gain their Biafra because life is difficult enough without having to contend with 'enemies within' such as the Igbos are to Nigeria. It would actually be pleasurable to watch such a self-delusional, rude, ungracious and disrespectful people fail publicly in the chaos Biafra would be if it were to exist. Can your father sit at the table with the average igbo men? |

Blackking98: Gowon did not create Midwest region rather it came through referendum during the first republic, the people decided in a referendum to have their own separate region from western region while Igbo territories was divided into states without due consultations and was done in way it will not favour us by splitting many communities into non Igbo states. You get it now? 6 Likes 1 Share |

justtoodark: This is why they are universally reviled. Nothing at all special about them yet they go around with their megalomaniac heads in the cloud. They just look pathetic because the reality we can all see is vastly at odds with claims Igbos make. Right now, for example, their political leaders are the most indolent and worthless in Nigeria. If leaders are culled from the people they represent, what does this tell us about Igbos given those they parade as leaders? |

Re: State Line Boundaries In The South East Doesn’t Make Sense by pazienza(m): 7:29pm On Mar 06, 2020 |
Well, there was a clear design by mammar Nasir boundary commission in 1976 to strike the then East Central state of any access to water bodies leading directly to sea and of any territories with crude oil in them. That's how Obigbo,Ogba, Ahoada, Ikwerre, Ndoni, all ended up in Rivers state. Problem is that those Igboid groups in Rivers state are now even more Igbo hating than other Nigerians. So OP I would say you should stop worrying about spilled milk and move on. Look on the bright side, Imo and Anambra sit on humongous natural gas fields, yet to be tapped, and we know that natural gas and not crude oil, is the future. We have the best of Igbo clans in SE and with them, we can still be world beaters if we look inwards and work on ourselves. There are native German speaking clans in Italy, Austria, Lichtenstein, Switzerland, Poland, etc. Yet the Germans in Germany don't need them to be great, they only needed to heal the Unity between East and West Germany to become great again. Having said that, I think we should definitely be interested in bringing the Igbos in Benue back, since those ones still long for our unity, and we should work more to obliterate the crack in Igbo unity created by state divisions. We should stop talking down on Igbo clans perceived to be lacking in development in SE, we should be our brothers keepers, we should all see all parts of SE as our hometown and all fellow SEners as brothers and sisters. No more denigration and insults. Let's pull funds together and get the SE development plan done and dusted. Udo Dili anyi Nile. 9 Likes 1 Share |
