This is for the culture, to motivate anyone still in the process not to give up and keep trying.

Decision to Travel
Immediately i started thinking of raising a family, i realized doing that in this country is a "NO NO". During the last quarter of 2017, i was out with a colleague drinking beer and eating fish as it should be on a Friday evening, then baba broke the news to me that he has gotten visa for permanent residency in Canada, na there the beer clear comot for my eye (I was very happy for him, but I felt I don carry last o). At this time i had no clue something like that exist.
He eventually briefed me about the process and told me i had all it required. I sha take style manage 8 bottles that evening, went home and slept well and started thinking about my life on Saturday morning.

IELTS
Registered for IELTS by November 2017, watched videos since my job wouldn’t give me much spare time. Result was released and I had L8.5 R9 S7 W6, I applied for remark but BC just added the 15k to the Exam fee they collected from me earlier and they locked up. Then i felt what is this entire struggle for, at this time I got another job offer so I changed job and relaxed again.
Then came October 2018,I was motivated again to rewrite IELTS, this time I could not prepare at all. I even had to work all through the previous night, drove to the exam hall with my laptop and I got to the exam venue around 7:30am, continued working until 8:45am then I said F*** it and dropped my laptop and entered the Exam hall.
Results was released and I had L8 R7 S7.5 W7, then I felt at least I could create a profile now.

ECA
I was to evaluate my national diploma and BSC, the stress of going to the Schools and WAEC was not encouraging. I was able to do that a few times and paid people to help me finish up, these guys opened office on my head sha. I no mind, can’t allow the 10-20k I’m dashing them affect the sanity of the Unborn. (Try to pay people to get what you want, if you do not have the time to run around).
Evaluation finally came out April 2019.

ITA
Created EE profile immediately after ECA and my CRS was sitting at 449, the next 2 draws came out and cut-off was 451 and 450 respectively. I sharply registered for IELTS again around May 2019 to possibly MAX out my IELTS score, results came and CRS remained at 449.
The next draw was for FST, afterwards CRS moved to 470. At this point, I just gave up on improving my CRS and was like what would happen would happen abeg.
Then OINP came through around July, sharply arranged my documents and applied then I got nominated by the end of September, now my CRS has moved to 1049 and ITA came OCT 2nd . All glory to GOD.

PPR
Submitted my application by 13th of October 2019 then the long wait, joined several WhatsApp groups and the ginger from the Indians wouldn’t let me rest, those guys can worry. I think their economy is worse than our’s o.
On 27th of February, I got the golden mail the feeling was out of this world. At least I know I now have a choice from the madness happening around here.
Now I’m in between soft-landing and moving fully, but at least this is a good problem we all wish we are faced with.
Final Note
Please and please don’t give up on this, try any means possible to make this work. If you’re not doing it for yourself, please do it for your family.
Try and try and keep trying, I pray for a positive outcome for every one of us.

Thanks to everyone for the information sharing here

Its PPR finally family, praise be to God. Please do not give up on this process

@ladymarshall or any other willing and available veteran in the house.

I called IRCC and was told my PR application was refused.I am yet to receive any email though. It is also well over my 6- month timeline. I can't think of any reason why I was refused no ADR was made during the processing time.

What do I do now?
So sorry. Are you sure it wasnt POF(what did you use as proof of fund), or NoC mismatch(whats your NOC). Please request for gcms asap.

It will end in praise...Shalom

Good afternoon and Happy Sunday to everyone, please I brother needs an advice base on his case as explain below:

His current CRS is 471, he should get invitation to apply in the next draw.

THE Question: He currently apply as a single applicant, he already have a 2years old child out of wed luck. NOW he is planning to get married to the lady, the wedding is to take place in May, this year. The question now is that will he be able to add his son and wife after submitting his application, ALSO hope that will not affected his score I.e HOPE is CRS will not be recalculated.

Thanks for your prompt answer, God bless

from the ITA, it clearly states that if your situation changes after getting ITA you should consider recalculating your score and if it doesn’t reach the minimum cut off for that round of invitation for which u were considered, you should decline your invitation.

From what you described, he is not single rather he is in a Common Law relationship; hence his CRS will be recalculated. I may be wrong anyways

Yes it must and you should have the funds with you till you hear 'welcome to Canada' from the immigration officer at the airport.

From what I have seen and read, you would need it to settle in. All the best.

If he gets ITA and submits before the wedding,He should mention his child when submitting and later add the mother when they get married. His score will not be recalculated.
But if he receives ITA and he doesn't submit before the wedding, his score will be recalculated.

if they have lived together for one year one can claim the common law. The onus lies with the applicant to claim it or not.in our culture you are either single or married . So he may not claim common law. But the case is tricky sha

Thanks. Please what section of the score breakdown are you referring to?
ednut1:
provide the required documents or provide loe stating you can't get it and that is doesn't affect your eligibility scores (67/100 mimimum-make sure without his points you still score 67 or more)

Your best bet is to go to Pearson airport website or call the airport using dingtone. There has been some conflicting reports on this. I don't think the ban is true but cross check with the relevant authorities.
