lol ipobs, they rejoiced and celebrated when GEJ his boss illegally sacked the same Sanusi, now they are raging mad and angry because he was sacked by his Ganduje, his boss.

This ipob enemy of my enemy is my friend mentality is laughable, pathetic and very played out.

Your rage is nothing but the typical ipob crocodile tears because you care less about Sanusi.

Almost every leader in this country knows what is right and when the truth is been told but because of their selfish interest and non-challant attitude towards the people of this great nation they keep doing ike politicians. God will save us one day.

The Governor can never take any action of this magnitude without the approval from the President. My personal thought though.
Buhari is something else.

People need to understand Sanusi's 'Exile'.

Sanusi is only on Exile because he subscribes to it in respect for the tradition of the emirate.

In return, he is compensated and cared for albeit a deposed one.

If Sanusi wants to dump the whole tradition thing and become a civilian nobody can stop him.

This Sanusi saga is a ploy strategically designed and well orchestrated by the cabals in power to divert the attention of the real happening currently in the country.

DONSMITH123:
A civil society organisation, the Concerned Nigerians Movement, has urged the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), to direct security agencies to respect the fundamental human rights of the deposed Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi II.

This was contained in a letter addressed to the retired major general on Tuesday and signed by the convener of the group, Deji Adeyanju.

In the letter entitled, “Unlawful and unconstitutional arrest and detention of former Emir of Kano, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi”, the group argued that Sanusi’s dethronement was unconstitutional, adding that his confinement was an infringement on his rights to liberty, peaceful assembly, and movement as enshrined in the constitution.

The group said, “We are greatly concerned over his arbitrary arrest and detention as these negate all constitutional provisions on the right to liberty, peaceful assembly and freedom of movement.

“The arrest and detention after dethronement carried out by the Kano State government are illegal and unconstitutional and many citizens are already insinuating that it has your consent and blessing as security agencies carried out the unlawful act.

“It is important that you use your good office and position as Commander-in-Chief to put a stop to this.

“Mr President, you would recall that banishment and the deportation of a deposed king have been declared severally by our courts to be unconstitutional. We refer to the case of ‘Government of Kebbi State vs. HRH Mustapha Jokolo (2013)’ where the Court of Appeal condemned and declared that banishment and deportation of a king are unconstitutional.

“We call on you to use your good office to immediately direct security agencies to respect his rights. The world will be keenly watching Nigeria on this.”

why should he be banished in the first place? is he part of Bokoharam sponsored

why is injustice growing to a cultural level in Buhari era. if Buhari knows what he had done for his generation to come politically he would quickly retrace his steps

his govt is becoming appalling and nauseating
Traditionally, he cannot be allowed to stay the city he once ruled over. Allowing him to stay would amount to having two Kings in the city and that is an invitation to chaos. As a former ruler, he still commands respect and huge followership in the emirate. In the interest of public peace, he should leave Kano emirate.

A lot has been said so far on this issue, but in my opinion, this is an open display of backwardness. Which one is "exile" again? If the government has anything substantial against Sanusi, let them take him to court already. He should be the one seeking asylum form political persecution instead......their problem!

My major concern is that another avenue for looting has been created, now that they have exiled him for live, and he is to be housed somewhere under government watch.....ehn! How much did Lai Mohammed say we are spending to feed El zakzaky every day again?
11.5million monthly

Sanusi Lamido may not be the same man again ! The people behind his travails are not ordinary people. They are highly diabolical, rich, influential and very powerful. They must have done all sorts of things to him behind the scene to break him down physically and spiritually.

I won't be surprised if he refuses to be assisted to fight the obvious infringement on his personal fundamental human right. Sanusi Lamido is not a perfect person; nobody is actually. Perhaps, 'karma' has decided to pay him a visit for some of his actions and inactions of the past, that is left to God. The lesson therein is that whatever position of authority we find ourselves, the power does not belong to us. It belongs to God, we are just mere custodians of that power.

Good or bad, karma or no karma,Sanusi deserves undeniable access to all his fundamental human rights as a citizen of Nigeria and as guaranteed in the constitution of our country. He should be appropriately tried before the law for any allegation leveled against him and punish accordingly if found guilty.

Nigerians from all walks of life must however stand to defend this man if his only sin is that he wants to bring about an end to certain traditions and cultures that are inimical to the development of an average Northerner. Nigeria needs a reformist like Emir Sanusi Lamido. He has sound mind.

As for those who are rejoicing because of the Emir's present situation,'karma is a bitch' and e no dey look face ! It might surprise you to know that some of the people he offended might have even forgiven him and moved on with their lives while you are here taking panadol for someone's headache.

May God forgive all of us that believe in Him and seek His favour.

The way the Northerners hold their kings is different
Buhari Def has a hand in all of this happening. It's either there is a chess game being played behind all of this or Buhari wants him to suffer. Either ways he has full knowledge of everything

I think you need to read my initial post all over again. I made it clear it is unconstitutional to banish him to Nasarawa forever.

Apart from Kano emirate, he should be allowed to go to anywhere in Nigeria and outside of Nigeria. He should also be allowed to live anywhere outside Kano emirate without the government dictating a place of residence to him.

The court of appeal already ruled on a similar matter in the case of Kebbi State government vs the deposed emir Jakolo of Gwandu. The court held that the state government cannot restrict his movement as doing so would amount to violation of his fundamental human rights as enshrined in the constitution.
