People will not hear, even as a steering fluid, Abro/Holts are very suspect talkless of gears.
Stubbornly used Holts transmission fluid according to his mechanics advice in January, replacing gearbox in March.

Good morning all,

My mechanic asked the oil I was using after he noticed the bit of white smoke coming from my 4 plugs 2007 Accord. I told him I use the recommended Honda 5w-20 engine oil and he asked if the car shorts oil and the answer is no. He advised to change it next time with this Mobil super 20-w50 xhp oil saying he is not comfortable with the smoking. What do you guys think please? Change or not change.
Change the mechanic and not the engine oil.

Hello house, I drive a sweet Honda Accord 2006 4 plugs. I must confess that I have enjoyed the car for straight 3years without doing any major repairs. However, it recently developed a problem where as soon as it reaches 3000 rpm while accelerating, it starts jerking. What could be the problem?
Could be TPS failure or scan your car

Good day house,
Please, am having problem with my Honda accord 09. since I change the upholstery and carried out interior cleaning, I notice my car horn stops working then comes on again when I restart the engine. And also saw a check engine light on my dash board. My full light also comes up on its own. Don't know what could be the reason.

And also my car key is unusually hot after driving.

Experts in the house, please, I really need assistance on this.

Good evening Gurus in the house,
Please help a newbie. My Honda civic doesn’t accelerate smoothly. When i try to accelerate after a stop, it drags before moving. When its in motion also, i also notice it drags while changing gear.
It was serviced recently and the gear oil changed with the attached.

My mechanic says might be the fuel pump or nozzle.

I greet all the gurus in the house.
Thanks to everyone for various contributions.
I intend to get a Civic 06 soon and just found out that there are two types, American and Asian,
What are the advantages they have over each other or which is better to get?
Secondly, which scanner can i get to use on it just on a normal owner scanner?
Thanks in anticipation.

You didn't specify what year the Civic is.

Sounds like your car gear does not deselect well, possibly bad quality gear oil inside it.

Holts is not advisable for Honda vehicles.

It’s a 2007 Civic. Will a complete oil change correct this?

Please help Sir luvinhubby, I told my mechanic to change my shaft for my Honda baby boy V6,he mistakenly broke my gear sensor. So I replace it by giving him money to buy another one but after the replacement my gear hesitate before it engages. Later he told me he would drain the gear oil,i gave him money again but I found out that he uses Holts.now he said we should change fuel pump which we have done. I took the car to a scan center.. It display code is P1706(transmission in range switch gear). Now he is saying he want to check another switch. I'm tired of this jerking especially from gear1 to 2. Pls kindly help me sir!

I can't say much about sensor but I know that Holt atf is bad news. When I used baby boy, I was changing the gear oil with Oando dex III and there was no gear issues for 6 years till I sold it. I suggest you see another mech and ensure you remove that oil.
