Hello house, I drive a 2004 Honda Accord V6 commonly known as EOD for a while I’ve been having problems with my car’s timing my mechanic said I should change the adjuster I’ve bought a new adjuster but the thing is the bolt breaks and the car jumps timing and won’t start I would like to know the remedy, would it be to thread it to a bigger size bolt it uses 10 I’m thinking taking it to 12 or 14 because my mechanic says I should give him 25k to buy a new copper plate that’s what he says it’s called I want to seek the opinion of Honda experts here on what to do? Do they sell the plate? Because it is fused to the engine of the car and I don’t see how they can replace it. Thanks

Evening house, my 2009 Honda accord showing VSA, Brake and ABS on the dashboard. This was after a mechanic worked on the front leg. The car drives perfectly well and I am not comfortable with those codes showing on the dash, my electrician cleared them but they keep coming back. What can be done pls?
@Rotiix
Please have u been able to solve the problem with your accord 09. Because am presently having the same issue with my 09 accord after my mechanic changed the breakpad, the VSA, Break and ABS light have refused to go off on the dashboard.

I changed the abs sensor, the break has disappeared but VSA and ABS remains. Will fix it this weekend

The sensor did not cause the brake light to disappear.
The VSA & ABS lights indicates that the ABS sensor or module is bad.

The comments across the thread show there are too many issues with Honda Accord.

My fellow Honda users, I greet una. Jejely I was using my Civic o with a knocking sound from the engine. A mechanic heard it and said it's the head stock that is gone. he said if he change it, the noise will be gone so I asked him to change it for me. he changed it the noise reduced but not gone but the terrible one now is a serious leak of the engine oil. he said I should change the bottom plate and top seals which I've done o. this morning I discovered my engine is empty of oil, I can't take the risk of even starting the car. please I need your wise counsel of what to do.

when u say empty of oil ,did u check underneath if the oil leaked to the floor. It happened to me....tell ur mech to change the seals with original seals and also observe the buttom plate too.when I changed my seals the mech used fake seals and when I got home the car was still leaking oil before he confessed and bought original seals

Key hole teeth misalign panel beater would have to remove it and go realign it for effectiveness

I did it last in 2019 I think it cost me 2500 for the job

You possibly didn't understand my comment before you replied.

I've only stated the obvious - Honda Accord are the most reported "wahalacious" brand of Honda.

By this, I've not said all Honda brands are notoriously problematic neither have established that other brands of automobile do not have their issues.

Just so you know, a Honda lover even ahead of Toyota but the Accord spec seem to be for the heavy-hearted.

Best regards!

Hello, NLers.

I want to know if Honda City is a good buy.
The car is a Nigerian used 2006 model with auto transmission.

It has a bad gear, AC not cooling.

Kindly school me if it's a good buy looking at cost of maintenance, fuel consumption and other challenges common with it.

Thank you.
