But our dear Nigerian government wants the thing to spread and start killing us before they decide to do the right thing.
If this was a policy to affect and make the masses lives miserable, they would have been very fast to enact it, but anything that involves saving citizens and protecting them, it becomes hard for them to do.

Just for their citizens, not for foreigners. Canada also has cancelled all their visas for now, except for diplomatic purposes. Nigeria is not doing any.

Following the 3rd case of coronavirus in Nigeria, the Federal Ministry of Health has provided more guidance for Nigerians. The ministry emphasized that people should not travel to affected countries unless it's very essential.

(1) We strongly discourage any travel to all affected countries except for essential trips

(2) We encourage everyone returning to Nigeria from any country to self-isolate for 14-days

(3) All those returning from countries where there is ongoing high community transmission (over 1,000 cases cumulatively), should self-isolate and will be actively followed up for 14 days by theNigeria Centre for Disease Control and Port Health Services

(4) Please continue to maintain hand hygiene and respiratory etiquette.

The bolded above is my problem, who ever brought the idea of self isolation for travelers returning from affected countries should be shot or Banished. Since the government have decided not to close the borders to travelers from infected countries, it should at list go through the trouble of isolating them on arrival it self for the recommended 14 day.

The federal government has done nothing so far, they are still allowing foreigners even from Italy right now into the country, telling them to quarantine themselves. Unfortunately Italy is under lock down, so their citizens can't fly over here.... But if they weren't, they would be able to fly in considering the stupidity of our leaders.

How can someone self-isolate in Nigeria?
You expect people to willingly stay indoors in this hot weather for 14days without Electricity.

They should better quarantine everybody coming in for 14 days. Or close down the airport and all borders for the next 30days

Other countries have the virus and can also bring it here apart from the Italians. Americans still fly into the country till now despite them preventing other countries into their country right now.
