Funny thing is I do condone these attitudes from girls at least to some extent but when A guy try to act like a b*tvh, I am always quick to react. As in once’s you do or talk like werey I go give you back as e they hot.

I remember one night like that I was parked close to Moist Beach Oniru, a request came in then I called the rider to ask if he/she was already outside the beach or will need me to come inside.

Me: Hi.....

Rider: *loud music playing* Yen yen yen okoto meow meow

Me: Hello hello I can’t hear you

Rider: Alaye la eti e, she eti e di ni (Mr man open your ears, are you deaf)

Me: Iya laya e ni eti e di (No interpretation)

My experience just now.
I carried this young lady along admiralty road she’s heading to Chevy view.
On our way, I overhead her heat arguments that the boy didn’t pay blablabla.
Ok! I reached the final destination a house beside zazari hotel naso I hear oga park here what’s your account.
Me: okay I’m using Stanbic IBTC but please I have to see the receipt and debit alert before leaving here is that okay?
Lady: ok I’m here no problem
Lady: oga have tried it the thing no go be like say network no good.
Me: but you didn’t asked for my account details?
Lady: don’t worry have got to go inside I’ll come back with money
Me: I remembered a Uber driver they duped with same trick on same spot I had to gave the guy 2k out of 7200 they chopped him. Naso I told her politely ‘baby girl please you can’t go inside or otherwise drop your phone to your security since you said it’s your house then I’ll wait for you’
Lady: what’s this rubbish why will I dropped my phone will I run will i this will I that.
Me: don’t let me take it up with you. With the statements you’re altering. Please drop your phone to him... before I know it with her voice many people don gather.
Oga kilo happen wetting happen you park for road at least clear. Naso I told them what happened. People begin talk their stories and all the securities started saying their part how those girls used to dupe drivers and drivers will hold security responsible.
To cut the long story short, las las the lady no get shishi. See shame na zazari hotel manager bail her out. I wish everybody safe in good health. May god continue to be with us and protect us all.

Longer throat fellow... Haha... So d ignorant girl truly wanted to cancel the trip? Are u kidding me??!!! grin
Bros a good number of these riders don’t know how the Client app works. That’s why they will keep asking for what car you are driving, your name etc.

Some riders don’t know that they can update destination from their own end.

I picked a girl from Megamound Avenue on a 2.1 surge to northwest filling station vgc, I knew it was a round trip because she was going to get diesel.

As we were approaching vgc she said if you end trip will I still be able to get you if I request again so that you can take me back.

I told her I don’t have to end the trip, she can just change the destination from her phone, she was surprised, I showed her how it’s done and she thanked me.

Another one this night at silverbird VI, took her and her friend to marina, when we got there she said I should end trip because her friend is stopping at the marina address that she’s going to book me again so I can take her to her house (Ikoyi).

I still taught her how to do it. She told me that she doesn’t know it’s possible even her elder sister use to end trip and request again.

These are the supposed posh girls of Lekki, their level of ignorance is...........................
Guys sef get their own for body.

Moat of these girls can be so annoying.

Got a uber req few minutes back somewhere around jibowu yaba area. Drove down to PU. Placed a call through rider since she's not reading her app message.

Rider: where r u
Me: Im outside
Rider: ok I'm coming out.

She called back after about 2min.
Rider: where r u na I can't see you, didn't you use you map.
Me: I've been here since, ok look your left and to ghost ht if you can see me my hazard light is on now.
Rider: I can't see still, you map is supposed to bring you to No 31 na aee you sure you're here?
Me: No number on your req just your street name or isn't it shoyinka street?
Yes she affirmed.
Rider: ok ask someone of No31 or ahould I cancel?

Me in my mind I just smile, b like dis one no mnow say her 5min grace don ellaps abi she think say na bolt?.

I started my engine, asked some guys around even though I hate doing that. They directed me. Turned and on my hazard light than called her this time.

She hugged her bf then opens the back door and entered.

Rider: you just arrived self and you said you've been here.

Me: what do you mean?
Rider:...still talking
Me: do you want to continue on this ride?
Rider: I should cancel?
Me: i wouldnt mind:
Rider: then you'll give me my N400

At this time her bf then came in,
Whats happening any issue?
Gf: ahe said he wants to cancel, but he will give me my N400.

As they where discussing me don cancel already.
Me: you can come down now, I just canceled.

The bf resounded it to her, he has cancel.

They closed my door I just zoomed off.

I no get time for bad riders that will end up rating me low at all it better I cancel.

Rubbish things

Coronavirus is finally here. Our government have succeeded in their wish to see this disease come in full swimg. One case from UK and several other suspected cases that are exhibiting symptoms similar to this deadly virus. This is no fake News, mind you.

I downed tools on uber a week ago, having embarked on my 2019 annual leave because I needed to rest. Plan working on uber tomorrow to avoid boredom and make a few more quid since I still have five weeks to go before I go back to work. As it is now, I have to suspend that plan of doing uber because of Coronavirus.

If you are still courageous enough to be on the pedal, you have to be extra careful out there. Take all necessary precautions. Island is where these people usually come to from oversees. Be extra careful and avoid physical contacts with riders, especially these ones with funny and disjointed accents, They may just have arrived from a coronavirus infested country. A stitch in time, saves nine.
That's just the truth of the matter

Drivers are made to go for training. But any uncouth human being with a false sense of entitlement can download the app and request. But in the midst of all those ignorant people, there are a few cultured and well mannered people.

I once picked up a guy at the airport heading to Obanikoro to pick his wife and from there to Magboro on 3.1 surge... The guy was a perfect gentleman but his wife was the exact opposite but I like the way he always tried to correct her. At a time he told her plainly that, "You don't tell a man how to drive his car. How many times have you gone to the cockpit and start shouting at the pilot because of ANY issue at all? This driver can decide to stop us anywhere and end the trip, turn and go home, what will you do then? . And the time was 10pm then.
The woman immediately became friendly, and even tipped me afterwards.
I don't know if it's just Nigerians but for some reason I am yet to understand, some people are looking for who to control even if it's for a few minutes..

You don't have any dilemma. Just hold onto the cash that you want to transfer to bolt, be using it to sort your self out until equation balance.
Uber/Bolt are now strongly encouraging card trips in order to reduce the spread of corona virus, so expect more card trips. A win win for all.

Great going guys!

I'm thinking we will benefit from a different perspective to situations like this.

Whenever I receive a trip request, I always call the rider immediately and confirm the pick up location - street address and number. It saves me a lot of stress and helps inform decisions I need to make - like should I go or not go?

When I've confirmed the rider's pick up location, I then give the rider my estimated time of arrival. If my ETA will be more than 5 minutes, I plead with the rider to please be patient; that I'm definitely coming.

All of these would have taken just a 60 second call; but a lot of misunderstandings would have been avoided.

Only then will I start driving to the pick up point.

I do call most of the time but you know how these things work na bro, sometimes I just feel like not talking to anybody to avoid issues while I mind my business.

Also, drivers especially those on rental needs to apply due diligence in daily dealings else you'll go home with just little or no penny and in the end of the week stories to car owner.
Uber fare is just too cheap, most of their fare ends N400, N500.

You can imagine a trip from farmcity at ogudu to Inside Iwaya last night ended 1k.

Initial pickup distance= 350m,
Called to get real pickup location =4~5min ~~ N10
Destination distance= 19km
Fare amount= 1000
Uber bonus to rider= 350
Uber charge~ 400
My earnings= 950 or there about

No do the costing after fuel and work done.

The only compensation I got was rider asking,
How long have you been driving?
Over 15yrs I replied, " why" I asked.
"I like the way you drive, keep it up".

I looked at my stars rating after like 5min my 1star rating increases from 8-9.

Probably rider was trying to rate my and then used the default rating ranking which starts from 1star.

Now ask me,

Watin I gain?

You could have handled this better though but I understand that some of these girls can be annoying and need schooling when necessary.

I usually find it annoying when I call a rider to confirm pick up address and they tell me ‘oga use your map’. I do not have any issue using my map but 5/10 of these times it’s always wrong. I don’t understand why there will be five estates inside ONE estate...like wtf!

So on Sunday I was on freedom way cruising when I got a request. Rider address was showing Idado Street, which means I have to go through the Idado market to get to her but my mind told me it’s not right. Correct location is inside the Idado Estate.

Just to confirm I called her, asked if it’s Idado Street, that will I pass through the mfm church, next thing I heard was oga use your map. sad

I followed Bolts navigation through the market then I saw plenty water. Had to call her again to tell her I have followed the map and I am in the market, she was now saying No No No you shouldn’t have passed through the market yen yen yen.

Well I found my way back to the right place.

Got to her place, she was already waiting outside, I didn’t waste time before I start the trip. After all I’m all about the money.

.....same girl that was forming for me on phone now told me to make sure I save her number and she’s hoping that I’m not one of those guys that used to form loyal boyfriend oooo. I just laughed and continued moving Lagos tongue
Reason I dont call most times because the reply is expected.

In this job bro I'm not here to impress anybody neither am I doing it to get favored or light up some kind of ovens. I've a beautiful wife and kids at home to look after.

So fuxk any stupid girl looking for some kind of loyal what ever!

Save your self that energy and quit trying to please shitty riders, because YOU CAN NEVER NEVER PLEASE THEM, NEVER!
See ehn... lie down on the floor and have them use you as their foot mat or stool, shitty riders will still complain that you did not lie down well.

As long as I do my bit, I don't go out of my way to please any shitty rider. Because at the end of the day, whether you like it or not, you go still "CHOP" that one star.
So why not save your self that stress, cancel the request and move on once you see those red flags from the beginning.

Me, I don't even argue or exchange words with them any more. Once I see those signs, no matter how juicy (LONG TRIPS) the trip might look, I will just respect my self and jejely cancel the trip and wait for another request.

Now, before you start preaching to me that your nauseating sermon of "DESTINY HELPERS". Let me first of all tell you that Destiny helpers are not Shitty, Rude, Condescending and all those bullshit.

Na so I wan go pick up one man one early mor mor. The man with commanding tone say make I drive enter his compound, number one red flag. I politely told him that I don't drive into people's compound. He grudgingly walked out from his compound and dash me one kind condescending look. That's number two red flag.

Then the third red flag wey make me cancel the request and move on be say ... Instead of the man to enter car, he first of all begin dey go round my car dey check my tires. Ah! Ah!!
Now imagine if I had gone on that trip with that man, there's 99% chance that I would regret that trip.

So many other bad encounters but let me stop here for now.
