@SunshineD1 how are you doing today? Any news from AVO?

This silence from them is disturbing. At least this time last year, AVO has started dropping PPRs in large numbers.

Absolutely no news except for some people saying they got ghost updates.
I don tire.

Please anybody who has used WES for law school help me out ooo. Wes accepted wifey's verification from law school initially and today they accepted verification for LLB only for them to change initially accepted verification for BL to "awaiting verification " . I called them immediately and I was told it's a secondary verification. Is this how it's done? Help a brother

Hi, I hope you are aware that WES will evaluate your wife's LLB as a four year bachelor's degree and not a "professional degree" that would give you points equivalent to masters? If not, you may need to wait for IQAS to open their portal for new application and do another assessment with IQAS for your wife. Pleasee note that I have a friend whose application was refused because she used WES but claimed point for "professional degree". She has submitted new docs for vic's consideration but nothing for more than one month now. However, all of the above would not matter if the WES evaluation of your wife's LLB as four years Bachelors Degree will not impact your potential scores by making it lower than the average CRS score being released by cic nowadays.

learning french to boost your score score is very achievable. I did that from ground level 0 last year and got 45 points from TEF. I got ITA at age 38. I've seen others do that as well. Visit the TEF Nairaland thread and read from page 1. That was how I got inspired to start the journey and it paid off.

But it requires a high level of dedication, self-discipline and tremendous hardwork and optimism. The year is still quite fresh. I took my decision about this time last year.

You have seriously boosted my morale. I am at beginner level french right now and I plan giving it my all. I pray that I come back here to testify that I passed TEF. Thank you veryuch for sharing your story.

Thank you ayandee and mamaroon!

For everyone pursing TEF, keep in mind that it is not required to be fluent - you only need to pass the exam. There is a "system" to the exam, a healthy number of repeated questions and available guidance. A large part of the task is to get to a reasonable proficiency level. The rest is exam preparation.

They say the next best time to plant a tree is now. Visit the TEF thread for more. All the best!

Hi, I sent my certificate to WES a long time ago and didn't notice that there was an error in my middle name(omission of two letters). I noticed it when I wanted to use the certificate for something else. I immediately applied for the correction in school but I haven't collected the new one with the correct name. My transcript bears the correct name though, WES has sent a mail to my school for verification and they are yet to reply. Do you think I should be worried about the name error??
Thanks.

my total point when I got ITA was 470. ITA cutoff was 469. I have ielts LRWS 8.5,9,7.5,8. I have a masters degree. Spouse ielts LRWS 6.5, 7,7,6. Spouse had no ECA.

If spouse had ECA, my crs would have been 479. But thank God, we got ITA even without his ECA

Hello house, My mum's sister, my aunty, is a Canadian citizen and all her children, my cousins, are all citizens. Can I use this to gain additional points since the CRS tool says, brother or sister? If yes, how do I go about it?
