Good progress with indigenous hardware by Nigeria.
How far is the scope of their current projects? Are they venturing into say developing vehicle mounted systems and such?

With the pace of development in Nigeria's defence industry, Nigeria would not need to import armoured personnel vehicles ever again.

The only reason Nigeria would import vehicles from abroad would be because of corruption, that is if the army ever imports armoured personnel carriers in the future.

At the speed we are going we would be the second largest armoured vehicle manufacturer in Africa behind South-Africa.

I will post pictures of the new off-road vehicle. Just cool down.

If we ever import APCs again, it's just boils down to corruption.

The height of Nigerian made armoured vehicles is remarkable.

This version would give Proforce ARA a hot chase for the money with regards to sales.

you're right bro .. I don't see any reason why we should ever import armoured vehicles again...
ARA has now seen a competitor..
But ARA is gaining ground with 20 foreign sales...

Competition is good for ARA, it would keep everyone thinking and on their toes.

There is another company building another vehicle. Same as the ARA and Ezugwu class.

When the 3 companies are through, the army should float a tender, all 3 companies bid for 1000 vehicles.

No NAF is not working on a fighter aircraft and starting a missile program from scratch isn't easy to do and expensive, imo I feel Nigeria has quite a long way to go wrt missile technology but with the right investment Nigeria certainly will have the expertise in the future!!

In sub-Sahara Africa Nigeria is clear second behind SA.

The ARA 2 has definitely impressed, and could potentially be a great export product

Judging by the photos, I think they actually went for a multi role platform which could also fulfil the role of an IFV, hence the sloped front and lack of a windscreen.

Rear compartment of the Ezugwu MRAP

You can stick boxes of ammo, jerry cans, in this case generators and inverter batteries.

I think the new Mrap isn't stable on the 4×4. Maybe better of with 6×6 variant.

The 3rd company is a Nigerian company. They already deliver farm machinery to Nigerian army farms limited.

I heard a few armoured vehicles companies started from selling farm machinery.

Ok, sounds exciting!

The progress has been really swift and I think they quickly learnt lessons from trials re visibility and blind spots on Ezugwu Version 1.

I feel like those companies should go more into infantry products like radio comma, bullets, assualt rifles, heavy machine guns etc, they will make a lot of money from it

The ARA 2 is a very beautiful looking vehicle, the army has also confirmed it's combat capabilities in the North East also.

We are currently making very nice military vehicles from utility, special forces and MRAPs.

We need to now look at offensive vehicles. With 30 mm and 40 mm cannons.
