I feel like those companies should go more into infantry products like radio comma, bullets, assualt rifles, heavy machine guns etc, they will make a lot of money from it

Judging by the photos, I think they actually went for a multi role platform which could also fulfil the role of an IFV, hence the sloped front and lack of a windscreen.
Yes, the older Ezugwu can fit a large caliber gun.

This was why I was saying the design concept is similar to the Ratel.

But since dem born you too dey argue too much, u think say na fight.

Good progress with indigenous hardware by Nigeria.
How far is the scope of their current projects? Are they venturing into say developing vehicle mounted systems and such?

The reason I said the old one could be used as an IFV was due to the sloped front and lack of windscreens..... Not because its similar to the Ratel, infact it looks more like modern day IFVs like the Patria or Badger, than the Ratel, fact it shares virtually nothing in common with the Ratel.

It does however remind me of the rg 34

Whoelse noticed that ezugwu mkII no longer uses that nail screws(correct me if I'm wrong) that someone here criticized it on?

Infantry Patrol Vehicle 2

Nigerian made. The army is saying they would also use this for special forces and quick reaction regiments.

Design stage to final product.

The seats also look super comfortable.

I think the new Mrap isn't stable on the 4×4. Maybe better of with 6×6 variant.
if fitting a bigger gun then yes 6x6 will be better but if used simply as an APC/mrap then 4x4 will suffice!

The ARA 2 is a very beautiful looking vehicle, the army has also confirmed it's combat capabilities in the North East also.

We are currently making very nice military vehicles from utility, special forces and MRAPs.

We need to now look at offensive vehicles. With 30 mm and 40 mm cannons.
Imo Think it's time that Nigeria starts developing 8x8 platforms, Nigeria has the capacity and skills needed hence there is no reason not to!

I don't know the names of your vehicles, but this is one of the vehicles I said looks like the Ezugwu.

You can see the resemblance. It is clear.

Those things are add-on armour. If you saw the video of the launch of the Ezugwu last year, you would see the vehicle comfortably taking ak-47 bullets at 1 meter ranges.

Point blank range.

yes the RG34 is definitely similar to the Ezugwu

The pic below is of the Ratel.... You can clearly see why I said they are nothing alike..... I was never dissing the Ezugwu, just simply stating it doesn't share the same design concept as the Ratel.

I criticised the visibility and blind spots on the first iteration. Are my concerns not justified with the version 2 just released?

Now I see the vehicle you're talking about..
Nice improvement on the Ezugwu...
They should maintain and sustain production of the Ezugwu MRAP, That new off-road vehicle Those two are the hot cake I admire..
Would it not be hard for the drivers to see far below with how high and inclined the hood is

I agree with this. We should be phasing out light skin vehicles in general, and use the Innoson primarily for utility.

Criticism is good by the way. If remember correctly, Some suggestions on improvements for version 1 ARA were taken upon from one of the threads here and subsequently improved. .

How are these skinny doors armored? Or am i missing something here? Those flat skinny rear doors can survive IED blasts?
This is a serious question, not throwing shade, was expecting them to be bulkier than what am looking at

Rear compartment of the Ezugwu MRAP

You can stick boxes of ammo, jerry cans, in this case generators and inverter batteries.

Looks like it from the pic, but okay, but the same question stand, how well would that do against big IEDs

Look at covid 19 infections and deaths in Iran! Top IRGC officers,MPs,ambassadors and senior clerics.

On March 3, Parliament’s Deputy Speaker Abdolreza Mesri said that 23 members of parliament—eight percent of the Majles—had contracted the disease. The same day, Parliament was suspended indefinitely to prevent new infections. “These people have a close relationship with the people and they carry different viruses from different parts of the country, which may create a new virus, so we recommend the lawmakers to cut off their relationship with the public for now,” Mesri said.
https://iranprimer.usip.org/blog/2020/mar/11/iranian-officials-infected-covid-19

By March 10, at least nine current or former officials had died from COVID-19, including Mohammad Mirmohammadi, a member of the Expediency Council, and Hossein Sheikholeslam, a former deputy foreign minister and ambassador to Syria who had been a major figure during the seizure of the U.S. Embassy in Tehran. Five members of Iran's elite Revolutionary Guards had also reportedly died from the virus. The following is a list of government officials who have contracted the virus.
It gets worse!

Deaths
Hadi Khosroshahi: Khosroshahi was a prominent cleric in the Qom Seminary and served as a representative of Ayatollah Khomeini in the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance after the 1979 revolution. In 1981, he was appointed to be the Islamic Republic’s first ambassador to the Vatican. On February 27, 2020, state media reported that Khosroshahi had died of the novel virus after he was admitted to a Tehran hospital a day earlier.

Mohammad Ali Ramazani Dastak: Dastak was a newly elected lawmaker from Astana Ashrafieh. On February 29, 2020, the Iranian media reported that he had died from the coronavirus after he was admitted for respiratory and pulmonary disease several days earlier.

Ahmad Tuyserkani: Tuyserkani was a close advisor to judiciary chief Ibrahim Raisi. On March 1, 2020, state media reported that he had died from the virus.

Mohammad Mirmohammadi: Mirmohammadi, a member of the Expediency Council since 2017, was reportedly a close confidant of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. He was a member of parliament from Qom for two terms between 2000 and 2008. Mirmohammadi also served as presidential chief of staff under the administrations of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei in the 1980s and Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani in the 1990s. On March 2, 2020, state media reported that Mirmohammadi had died from coronavirus. He was the highest-ranking Iranian official to die from the disease.

Hossein Sheikholeslam: Sheikholeslam, who had studied computer engineering at the University of California, Berkeley, participated in the takeover of the U.S. Embassy.
And many many more including Ali Akbar Velayati himself,ex foreign min and now advisior to the Supreme Leader.

We use Chobam armour for the Ezugwu MRAP APC. Light arms cannot penetrate the armour if the Ezugwu.

Photos attached.

When taking into account the result of test carried out, the Ezugwu is pretty adequate.
