LASDRI can be gotten at their office at Oshodi, Badagry and some other parts of Lagos

Hackney can be gotten at the VIO's office. Try the one in Ikeja. Near the High court

I hear it can be gotten in some banks, is this true?

When i pick u up at home and drop u at ur office or vice versa i have no problem with u on transfer even if d alert didn't reflect on my app instantly. U can go, i will call u in an hour if i dont see it.
But when i pick u from say a beach or hotel to probably a shopping mall or a market. I must see alert. We all will be patient till it gets in or we go to an atm point.

Some day i picked up a rider from festac to ebutte meta, federal medical center. Then go back to drop d boy friend at ago palace. Fare was 3600.
Boyfriend said it was the babe that will transfer d money. Called babe and she said her battery was low she will send it later.
I just zoomed off. (i know her house, and office. No qualms)

She spoke so soft and looked responsible. I trusted her.
Called in d evening to tell her no alert yet, she said something came up....
Next morning another stroy, next evening another story. At a point she won't pick all my calls.
I sent her a simple message: Please pay my money to avoid my troubles.

She ignored.
3rd day a trip took me to ebutte metta early morning. At around resumption time,
I got there and waited for d yeye girl.

She got down from a tinted corolla, with a straight face, as if she had seen me but trying to pretend. I trailed behind her as she walked into d hospital, i dialed her number to be sure it was her... She somehow, stylishly silenced d phone.

I didn't want to stop her and harass her. I may be wrong, she may not be d person.

I walk to a staff nurse and asked where is d management office, that i wanted to lay a complaint about a staff.

They said SERVICOM department.
I downloaded a fresh true caller app, put in her number.... It showed Dr oyinye. A Doctor! Wow

Told SERVICOM d gist, gave them the name and number, in less than 5 minutes they fished her out. Same girl o.

Took her to one room and start questioning her, through the walls i was hearing stuff like: u cant be complaining low ba3 and poor network for 3 days....

Another staff was busy telling me to hav patient, it will be resolved soon.

They called me to d room she was... In her hand was cash.

They apologized, and equally said it could be network, but that doesn't mean they are supporting her ooo.
She apologized, wit a very drained, pale face.
I pitied her that moment. It was so embarrassing...
Handed me the cash, 4k.
I told her i have change in d car.

Funny girl followed me to d car park, apologized again, for any inconvenience she might have cause.
I actually talked less that day. I said no problem.

Take 500 change i dont have 400.
She said she didn't have 100 to balance too.
Ok you can keep it, i said.

She walked back like d ground should open and swallow her up.
I kind of felt bad for dragging her to this point. But well, she pushed me, trying to be smart.

Make una no vex for my long story... I get time small ni cheesy

Now, this is how you handle a case.. Bravo

Much as it hurts, she was notified she violated the law... Issues like this is exactly why I did everything by the book with no bribery. It cost a lot more but I don't care what kind of paper you are looking for we have it. No one can hold me to ransom and I can sleep well at night.

Also, that's what insurance is for though they might deny her claim because of the violation.

From what I read from from the person who put out the story, the issue was the land on which she has the facility and there is a case in court over the said land, so how do you go destroying things over a case that is in court, if not high handedness...

To those who were preaching loyalty to bolt and frowned at offline trips. If you still think these people care at all about drivers after this then your case is... Infact I don't know and I no send

They want to stay at home for safety reasons when they're less at risk but ask us at high risk to keep on driving so they can keep making money while at home

The only condition they advise you to stay at home is once you have successfully contracted the virus

They also want you to do more card trips than cash so in case you kpai you won't carry their money to heaven God forbid. ROTFL

Bro what more do you want bolt to do? Do you know the amount of people at their offices at any given day except weekends? The government is saying people should limit public gatherings and bolt is trying to do its own part by shutting down their offices. They clearly said ‘you can carry on driving when you wish to’ so it’s entirety up to you, after all you’re an independent contractor ba?

They said do more of card payments which is also saving your lives because the virus can pass through bank notes, you said they want to keep making money.

Don’t drive! If you don’t make money, they don’t make money. Or are you saying they should make it 0% commission because drivers are ‘risking’ their lives out there? Lol or you think they are not losing more money from the drivers they cant onboard?

What you should do if you wanna keep making money is:

Buy a temperature guage ( the ones the banks use) cost about 10k

Buy a big bottle of hand sanitizer, cost about 3k

Big tissue papers or paper towels max 2k.

And enter the streets with confidence.

Before riders enter your car, check their temperature and also give them hand sanitizer and tissue (incase they wan cough or sneeze) With that, you’ve done your part.

It’s just a precautionary measure. Bolt has done its part, now do yours.

You see the difference? Even if deep down they want drivers to keep working, they made sure they didn't directly or indirectly encourage drivers to keep driving. Useless bolt said it directly and even laid emphasis on how they wish to get paid
I'm still trying to figure out why drivers still prefer driving with bolt even when they have an active uber account.

Hello guys.

To let you guys know of my bad experience yesterday 18.03.2020 during a BOLT ride.

Picked up a rider at Alakija at about 7:30PM heading to Adeniji. Lagos Island, just five minutes into driving we were held in a thick traffic created by tanker and container trucks.

Just before we could get to Mashalachi junction, two able bodied men crossed over from the other side and started flashing torchlight into the car. Before we knew it, the driver window side was hit by a heavy object and the glasses was all over my body. Traces of blood was seen on body especially my hand.

Unfortunately, the rider 2 phones, 1 iPad, apple wrist watch, wallet and money was taken away from him.

Those thieves also went ahead to attack the car ahead of us. We were all helpless, even the presence of truck drivers was of no value as we expected a support from them.

Made a report to Bold through the app on support and got a call this morning from BOLT. According to the customer care, BOLT will NOT be able to do anything for the following reasons;
1. I was not registered for the BOLT shield.
MY ADVICE: Guys, if you can afford it, please do it. You won't know the importance until days like this.

2. My third party insurance can only over cover if another car was involved.

I continued with the trip because I had no other option but to drive him to his destination. Although on getting to Apple junction I ended the trip in other to keep my phone off sight.

Please lets be careful as we go about our daily routine and avoid some roads at night.

God bless the road.

That's the only solution bro.

If they had killed you(God forbid), BOLT SHIELD would have been useless.

There are so many bad spots in Lagos. Just know when to go offline, hide your phone, switch off your AC and leave you vehicle (if you are in traffic)

Baba I've been doing uber for 3days now cos bolt said my inspection has expired. I'm about going for re-inspection now, and I'm dumping uber again after that.

There's this strategy that works fine for me on bolt that I can't apply on uber.

The fact that you can't set destination when you're in a busy area on uber is a concern to me. Again not seeing destination is also a discomfort.

Temperature gauge(hand held gun) is 3k5 max
The biggest tissue roll is 500naira max
Hand sanitizers, well, I don't know how much that cost
You could get a face mask or even latex hand gloves if you must deal cash.

A lot of reasons.

1. You get to see intended destination.

2. 20% commission. You earn more on bolt. Drivers only earn on uber wen ders surge.

3.. 40% cancelation allowance

4.Leniency of the bolt team. Except you are really fraudulent., if the app yanks you off cos of rating. If you go to their lekki office n state your case, you will be absorbed back. Though it mite take some tym.

I CNT joke. Wt No1.

5.
In addition: Bolt's destination feature is more responsive than Uber.

UBER lacks all of the above mentioned points.

Bro I felt really bad for your experience. And thank God for your life. But please you should always take precautions in this job.

Bros I can’t imagine how brave you could be to have accepted trip from alakija mad zone at night heading to adeniji red zone at night. On this great platform you must’ve learn one or two things about safety at night. Mushin, mile 12, adeniji and the rest wey angryigboman mentioned isn’t safe at all. If you think about the juicy pay and all think about your life too brother.

If something happened to our life’s May god forbid. But Uber taxify and partner will move on even the car you’re thinking of owning will become another persons car. Please be wise although nobody is perfect but please be aware of all these area most especially Eko bridge at night is nono also. May Almighty God continue to be with us and protect us. So sorry about your experience
