A family member just recovered from symptoms that very well looks like some of the coronavirus symptoms i have been reading. Thing is, the person has not been outside the country in two years. Meaning this thing has been in the country for a while. The FG is not being sincere.

they ain't sure about the figure but I doubt if it's up to 200m. My source said over 50m so it might be more than that but 200m is a huge figure. We are talking of a population as big as Nigeria's population
The plague lasted for years and spread across Eurasia at the time.
People were much then since the plague did not just affect one country alone lipsrsealed

They will never take caution as they believe their Roman white jesus will save their butts when they start dying by the thousands, and its only now that the government is closing churches, I pity this ignorant religious country undecided
I pity atheists.

So JESUS CHRIST is a Roman? Are you sure He was white?

At least, true Christians have a HOPE (you may contest it) that by whatever means they die, heaven is their home. What is your hope? Fire & worms?

Note that one of the most irreligious countries on earth is China.

Atheists (in thousands) greater than you have regretted their choice on their death beds.

At least I have told you and won't share in your punishment.

Their experiences made no reference to guidelines in place. From what I can see, they were sick before government started coming out with those. They didn't even call so that their names could be added to the growing statistics.

salford1:
It's not easy to get examined in developed countries due to the limited number of testing kits. They will not test just anyone that shows up at the testing centres. You need a referral from a family doctor or via a specific number that you have to call, then the operator would interview you on the phone. People are experiencing long wait times as the number is overwhelmed too.
In addition, you need to meet certain strict requirements:

- You must have travelled and have symptoms. If the symptoms are mild, you would be told to stay home for 2 weeks in self isolation and recover. Hospitals only want severe cases to come to them.

- You can only test if you are within 2 weeks of arrival into the country and you have symptoms.

- You have been around a person that tested positive, and the person already has a file with the government.

If the lady we believed brought it to our office had gone for a tests and confirmes positive, we would all have been mandated for a test too, but the lady did not.

The virus won't kill in thousands, it's not a life threatening virus like Ebola but it's highly contagious. Most people won't know they have it, am only scared for the old and weak people with underlying health issues.

And do you know that there's no single new case of coronavirus in China, do u know that they are cured over 75 percent of infected persons in China, do u know that china have started opening their cities, do u know that china economy is not going down as other countries, do u know that Adidas has open all it's factory in China, do u know that china has started human trials for coronavirus cure, do u know china use stem cell therapy to cure severe patient of coronavirus.

Now can your religious Nigeria go through what china just went through and come out strong like china?

I believe i had this virus sometime early january. I was in Dubai for 9 days and returned on the 7th of January. Developed a cough and fever on the 9th and it progressively got worse. One morning, i coughed and blacked out!

Stayed home, self- medicated and got better after 3 weeks.
my concern is those u might have come in contact with and infect them unknowingly

From the way people are discribing this viral infection, it seems that was what I passed through last two weeks. I couldn't sleep well in the night due to increased palpitations and I felt like I was about to die. I was so scared that I ran to the hospital for tests. ECG test was also done. Results of these test came out and the Doctor said I'm actually normal. No sore throat but I had mild cough which I treated with only Tomtom. Maybe I have passed through and survived Corona at last because I'm OK now...
Re: Stories Of Nairalanders With Coronavirus by emmnprince(m): 5:15pm On Mar 19, 2020
Let me believe that the 5 new cases today from USA and UK were tested and confirmed at the airport, not at their homes or in other public places. If not, expect the number of confirmed and unconfirmed cases to increase in the coming days

I doubt if we as a nation is fully prepared to tackle this novel coronavirus that is spreading across the globe.

Last month, last week of February I had symptoms, but I can't attribute it to coronavirus because I am well after being treated twice by two different hospitals in Lagos. The symptoms: fever, mild sore throat, body weakness, headache, catarrh, internal heat. I even lost some kg. After series of injections and malaria drugs I became whole, kudos to the Almighty who used the treatment administered to me to bring healing.

First treatment done last week of February. Symptoms subsided for about two weeks. Symptoms resurfaced March 9, went to another hospital were I was tested positive to malaria. Drugs prescribed and taken by me. Now ok. I've gained my weight back!

My concern is this: If the unconfirmed cases of Coronavirus carriers are in town, its certain more people will be affected in Lagos and this may spread to other states.

As we believe in God for protection, we should not put God to test by exposing ourselves anyhow and not maintaining hygiene and living well. The same God we believe in gave us wisdom and sense to use. To this end, God won't do what man should do for himself.

Do the needful: maintain good hygiene and lifestyle. Exercise your faith in God and accompany your belief with prayers.

Yes. Most government are behind because this is an uncharted territory for a lot of government or health care workers. The guidelines just started becoming available. Before the guidelines, alot of people just thought it was a cold or a mild flu.

Even with the symptoms, they need to meet certain strict requirements before they can be tested. The two experiences in this post do not meet the requirements and won't be added to statistics if the symptoms appeared today and they seek healthcare.

If you displayed all the symptoms in this world but have not traveled or been in contact with someone that tested positive, you would be declined testing in Canada, so you won't be added to statistics. You would just be told to self isolate for two weeks, then if the condition detoriate, then call emergency.

The situation is also fluid so guidelines are consistently changing, atleast in the developed world. Heck, like they just found out that aerosols makes the virus airborne for a few hours and also just determined how long it can survive on different types of surfaces. These were Information not previously available.

See the bolded. That's from the government's website of my province.

I am very aware of what is going on.

These people suspected. Other than the
alleged symptoms etc, they didnt defer to the medical authorities. Their experiences were before the government guidelines.
