Temperature gauge(hand held gun) is 3k5 max
The biggest tissue roll is 500naira max
Hand sanitizers, well, I don't know how much that cost
You could get a face mask or even latex hand gloves if you must deal cash.

Well even better that it’s more affordable.

The last time I checked you can still get hand sanitizers at shop rite for 670. It is Nigerians that are inflating the price. You should also get spirit and a rag. Put the spirit in a spray bottle. Better to by the1.5 liter container. You need to constantly spray surfaces in your car. Door handles etc.

My understanding is that there are no surgical masks anywhere.

I am buying all these mini containers from miniso so I can have multiple containers of sanitizer round the house rather than a single one

That's the only solution bro.

If they had killed you(God forbid), BOLT SHIELD would have been useless.

There are so many bad spots in Lagos. Just know when to go offline, hide your phone, switch off your AC and leave you vehicle (if you are in traffic)

Thank you so much my brother.

Bro I felt really bad for your experience. And thank God for your life. But please you should always take precautions in this job.

Bros I can’t imagine how brave you could be to have accepted trip from alakija mad zone at night heading to adeniji red zone at night. On this great platform you must’ve learn one or two things about safety at night. Mushin, mile 12, adeniji and the rest wey angryigboman mentioned isn’t safe at all. If you think about the juicy pay and all think about your life too brother.

If something happened to our life’s May god forbid. But Uber taxify and partner will move on even the car you’re thinking of owning will become another persons car. Please be wise although nobody is perfect but please be aware of all these area most especially Eko bridge at night is nono also. May Almighty God continue to be with us and protect us. So sorry about your experience

Thank you my brother.

It was a horrible experience and I pray that none of us will ever get attacked.

Please do you know how much it will cost to replace? My rewire just asked me to bring N8,000

What are u saying? Only uber accepts drop lights not even pencil light.
Drop lights are 2000-2001.
Bolt accepts from 2003 model.

Not really. Price you were paying before was highly subsidized by the government at a loss. Saudi price drop would reduce loss but they increased subsidy to get you a lower price anyway forgoing the reduction in loss of revenue so yes, thank sai baba.

From what I read from from the person who put out the story, the issue was the land on which she has the facility and there is a case in court over the said land, so how do you go destroying things over a case that is in court, if not high handedness...

Read again. She built a commercial property on what was clearly restricted as a residential area. Same thing that happened to Lekki phase 1 and now there is a loud ass night club across the street from what should have been my parent's quiet refuge.

It's like putting a workshop in NICON or banana island and expecting nothing to happen.

You're better off buying all the bars of soap or liquid soap and keeping a jug of water in your car for washing your hands regularly than you are with hand sanitizer. Mix bleach solution for wiping down surfaces and wash hands. Ditch the hand sanitizer.

Driving on Bolt is flexible, yes their App is annoying but it’s still the best platform to drive on in Lagos imho.

Uber is trying to maintain international standards, they have forgotten that this is Nigeria where there are no good roads, safety and security of life is almost zero.

On bolt I can cancel at will. On Uber it’s a different ball game entirely.

I am trying everything possible to stay out of trouble, so in other to achieve this I decided to stop driving on the Mainland. (It’s like they have their head wired differently there) I only take trip to the Airport, immediately I drop the rider I’m setting destination back to Island whether I get a trip or not I’m less concerned, I’m driving straight to VI or Ikoyi to continue my work.

I’m very sure if I drive on Uber, I won’t last two weeks before they booth me out tongue

Two more trips to complete, and I’ll be on 5% commission.

hmmm. i do keep a keg of water in the car. for emergencies. [like one fine day when number two came at me out of knowhere] i used to keep a full bottle of sunlight liquid soap but that was before i got a pickup with an open back and no case/rear box. for me hand santiser is more convenient. washing my hands means i need water, soap and a means of drying my hands after. in a taxi with a stream of clients - it gets even more difficult, esp as nigerians can be stubborn. i think its faster to dab on your hand than take soap, , pour water, wash hand pour water again , then dry hand. plus if you dont have liquid soap, bar soap is also difficult to manage in a car. but those are just my thoughts as a lazy engineer who wants to do everything quick quick

but now that you mention it, i can get a small bottle of liquid soap to keep in a cranny in the car. thanks.

thats how we roll in these parts. if you don't have an aggressive neighbourhood association - someone will build hotel or beer parlor in esidentoial area, and then it will all go to shiit.

Hello guys.

To let you guys know of my bad experience yesterday 18.03.2020 during a BOLT ride.

Picked up a rider at Alakija at about 7:30PM heading to Adeniji. Lagos Island, just five minutes into driving we were held in a thick traffic created by tanker and container trucks.

Just before we could get to Mashalachi junction, two able bodied men crossed over from the other side and started flashing torchlight into the car. Before we knew it, the driver window side was hit by a heavy object and the glasses was all over my body. Traces of blood was seen on body especially my hand.

Unfortunately, the rider 2 phones, 1 iPad, apple wrist watch, wallet and money was taken away from him.

Those thieves also went ahead to attack the car ahead of us. We were all helpless, even the presence of truck drivers was of no value as we expected a support from them.

Made a report to Bold through the app on support and got a call this morning from BOLT. According to the customer care, BOLT will NOT be able to do anything for the following reasons;
1. I was not registered for the BOLT shield.
MY ADVICE: Guys, if you can afford it, please do it. You won't know the importance until days like this.

2. My third party insurance can only over cover if another car was involved.

I continued with the trip because I had no other option but to drive him to his destination. Although on getting to Apple junction I ended the trip in other to keep my phone off sight.

Please lets be careful as we go about our daily routine and avoid some roads at night.

God bless the road.

Sorry about your ordeal bro. If you have been following the tips given here on this thread you may have not encountered such an experience.

Why on earth will you accept a trip towards adeniji adele around that time?

Today I felt like AngryIgboMan. I went to mile 12 from Alapere and while going, a bike man hit me from behind, he was following me bumper to bumper and when I applied brakes, he hit me and ran away, by the time i checked, minor scratches on the tail. Coming back, same scenario, this time the clips of the tail came out with a major scratch.

The sanity in island and places where these bikes have been banned is priceless. Keke Marwa are also proving nuts.

I am an experienced uber driver, residing in Ikeja.
Looking for a good rental deal, assurance deposit of N100k to N200k avaiable, depending on the condition of the vehicle.
Weekly remittance of N25k.
Lets move Lagos forward.

The same subsidy that was removed in 2015 (N87 to N145 ) that caused scarcity and suffer all over nigeria
Now you saying govt increased subsidy again. So what was the reason why d price increased from 87 to 145 ?
Nigerians or our leaders , keep telling us different stories.2day no subsidy 2mro increase subsidy
