Please I will like to know if the UK embassy is still open for visa application irrespective of the covid 19 pandemic.

I also want to know how long it takes the UK embassy to invite or attend to someone after making an application. Please is there anyone with an idea?

1. What is your status in the UK?

2. What is the purpose of bringing your brother? To live permanently or visit and go?

3. What does your brother do for work?

Just read this evening that Lagos is shutting down for 7 days. May be that is why he was called but if he lives in Lagos he might try to visit the submission centre that day. But I guess he might be booked for next week Friday if Lagos is shutting down for 7days.

Thank you for contacting UK Visas and Immigration International Contact Centre.

With regards to your enquiry about the status of your application, I can confirm that we have made a decision on your application.

We cannot discuss the outcome of your application on-line or by telephone.

However the visa application centre will be in contact with you in regards to collection or delivery of your passport.

We strongly recommend that you do not buy a non-refundable, non-flexible ticket to the UK, until your visa application has been approved and you have received your documents.

If you live in Lagos, I recommend you try to visit the VAC today (before 4pm) to see if your passport is back, or if not, they should know where your passport is. If you are outside Lagos, you can try find other ways of contacting TLS.

I feel your pain

I was in this exact situation.
TLS ikeja won’t help you.

Your passport and decision is with UK embassy at Walter Carrighton.

Email VisaSheffield@homeoffice.gov.uk with your concern

They will ask the Embassy to release it to TLS Ikeja

Hello house. Please I am to submit my application and biometrics on Monday, March 30 but due to Lagos shutting down I won't be able to do that again on Monday. My concern is this..... My host in the UK already sent his bank statement to me dated 18th March, 2020. Please can I still use that my host bank statement anytime am rescheduled for biometrics. Also I will go and get my salary bank statement this Friday as well, March 27. Thank you.

Thanks bro.

I was about to criticize people on this thread that they don't support with information, until I saw your response

I told her to leave her house in Surulere and go to Etiebet's place in Ikeja. She got there around 1;30pm and she was issued 6 months VISA to expire in October, 2020
