Hi, everyone. I shutdown my hp laptop yesterday night. When I on it this morning, the screen went blank. I can see light on the keyboard but not on the monitor. Although I can see some words with the use of a torchlight it works normal but the light is gone. I tried to increase display brightness but it did not solve any problem. I am worried, what should I do. It is a hp pro book 440 g3. Thank you.

See a laptop technician for diagnosis.

Fault can be from the motherboard or screen.

HP Folio 9480m - Intel Core I5 VPro
8gig RAM 500HDD
it runs on Windows 10.
The problem is after using it for a while it comes up with this picture and I just have to restart it.
I've reformatted it and problem still persist.

Please help!

Have not experienced such, but it might be a drivers or virus related issue. Formatting your system might solve the issue but reinstall graphics drivers first.

Roll back using restore option to a particular restore point, or reset the laptop

That's the blue screen of death, wipe the hard disk from startup settings, install using a pre-activated ,updated windows installation set up

Hello guys. I need help. For about 3 months now, my laptop keeps saying my windows 8.1 is not activated. I have tried all the methods I found online and nothing works. So I understood use of product key was better except I couldn't find it even after installing key finder apps. Recently I saw a response that said my product key is in my BIOS which should be located in my motherboard. Truthfully, I have no idea what they're talking about.

If windows 7.roll back in time using system restore option.
If its windows 10,use the reset option and choose either to delete and clean your drive or remove installed apps only

It's likely a RAM or screen display issue.
Connect the system to an external monitor using VGA cable, if it comes on the monitor then it is a screen-display issue. Here I suggest you contact a technician for further troubleshooting.
IF it doesn't come up at all on the external monitor, changing the RAM will solve the issue.

There's a blue coloured VGA connector at the side of the laptop. Connect it with a VGA cable to an external monitor.
This same cable is used to connect a system unit to a monitor in a desktop computer.
