Hello Nairalanders. Please I need an advice on what to do, I will be brief and short, please read below
I graduated from NATIONAL OPEN UNIVERSITY OF NIGERIA ,I’m planning to do my master in Canada, the basic is, I ordered for my transcript to be sent to CANADA since January 29/2020,could you believe that even till date it haven’t been sent to The school yet and I’m not sure this people(NOUN) are ready to do it yet . I paid 25,000 naira,I have gone to NOUN few times after the payment ,I sent an email to national open university and still yet. Nothing has been sent

PLEASE IF YOU ARE A JAMBITE. OPEN YOUR EYES WELL BEFORE CHOOSING SCHOOL. I REGRET GRADUATING FROM THAT SCHOOL

IN ADDITION
I graduated 2017. It took them about 2 years to release my name for graduation without me failing nor having any issues ,the bad aspect is,I might just have wasted all the money for my visa processing because this NOUN is not ready to send the transcript yet, after complains and all. The school is just not organized,They don’t give student(unofficial )copy for transcript either

Please what other step can I take ?

Sorry o. Ure acting like someone born overseas, An average nigeria institution never take cognizance of emails or online thingy. If only you spear a week and go to Abuja , All these should be done within few weeks with bribe . As thats the only thing that works here in nigeria .

Go and ask those that filled the online form for registering of international passport , Them go wait tire for house . But merely working down to there office and bribing ur way around , u go collect ur passport same day or next day.

Thats how spoilt the society we found ourselves is now. Its a pity though. So, its not about noun ,thats how all nigeria institutions are .

You had better visit 'Exams and Records' to fast track the entire thing. I saw the last time I visited some four years ago.

Go to headquarters at Abuja and you'll keep going until they give you.

Just got mine last month, it wasn't easy, I paid, settled most of the the workers there to no avail, waisted and waited.. Came again and paid the second time because I was so in need of that.

started applying since October last year... I missed winter because if that.

According to a staff there, why they're turning people who come to collect their trabsncripts around is because they don't want students to be leaving NOUN.

NB:they won't give you at hand, you need to provide an address of an institution in naija that they will send directly to.

Local used to be 5k, now 10k this year.. International, formerly 10k,i think 15k now.

Did you apply online? I also did a Master's program in NOUN and I will forever be grateful for doing the program because it was the degree that I used in applying for the Canadian Express Entry. The process for applying for my transcript back then was very easy and seamless. I applied online and it was sent to the ECA organization. I did mine in 2017 though, so probably things have changed now. Have you contacted the school you sent the transcript to so you can be sure they have not received it?

Thanks. I followed the right steps

They are just scammers. Why do you have to apply for a transcript every time you need it. Isn’t that a fraud ?

The thing about transcript is, aside schools who are authorized to send electronic copy to WES and some institutions abroad, you must make personal arrangement for courier services, else your transcript may not leave the school premises .

Get someone to be writing your correspondences. Your writing needs to improve. Some of these little things are turn offs.

I've seen students that went to Abuja for their transcripts and got it the same day or latest the next day.

I'm not a staff of NOUN, m just a past student of the institution.

Even if you did not believe it, you need not to call someone Liar Liar because it shows how disrespectful you are, this might even be the reason they delayed your transcript because of your shape words towards them.
