I just want us to debate on this topic because there are so many religious people in Nigeria that would rather choose to die than take alcohol and even back their decision with relevant bible references.

You never can tell, WHO can come out tomorrow to declare alcohol as a vaccine to corona virus.

As a devoted Christain that doesn't take alcohol because its against your faith, if it comes to a matter of life and death, will you take it to stay alive.

The bible condemned drunkenness. The bible was silent on whether to take alcohol or not. If is advisable to stay clear from it since it can be abused hence leading to sin.
Should a Christian take alcohol ? The answer depends on the reason for such consumption see 1Tim 5:23. However you know how an average human react. Just a little win will result to 10 bottles of alcoholic drink

The Bible is not against alcohol. But too much of it is a sin, which also applies to most things including food.

The first miracle of Jesus was turning water into alcoholic wine.

So if it's a cure, you'd be stupid not to take it.

Drinking alcohol can loose or weaken the psychological status of a man, it is not uncommon that one can make bad judgment or commit unpleasant acts. However one might drink to a state of not been drunk, there by putting his self in a "near occasion of sin", the alcohol itself is not sinful but, the aftermath can be of no good.
I will take alcohol if it's a cure for such illness.
Yes during Moses time it's hit and get hit, an eye for an eye but, what evil is it if you let go as Jesus said turn the other cheek.
