What is Gcam?
Gcam is short for Google Camera App for Android. Years back it was available for all Android but Google pulled it out from the play store (in 2016) because they found an algorithm that gives them a competitive edge over other Android OEMs. From the birth of Google Pixel devices, Gcam just keep getting better and better as you will see in some of the pictures below.

Thank God Android is open source which means you can modify codes in some apps or port it to your own device once it is not for commercial use. So developers have ported plenty Google camera ports to tons of Android devices.

Is there a working Gcam for my Android phone?
Probably yes, it's is straight yes if your device processor is Snapdragon but if it is MTK or Kirin (Huawei/Honor phones) or Exynos (some Samsung phones) then it may be a bit difficult to find. But relax, we got you covered...

Am quite very ok with the 48MP cam of my RN7pro.

What's the difference between this Gcam and the native camera on phone?

RN7pro is a great device packed with premium Sony IMX686 48Mp sensor for main camera. Just let me know if you are on MIUI China Rom or Global or even custom Rom let me give you one Gcam for a test and you will call the result yourself.

Gcam is an Android Camera App built by Google exclusively for their Google Pixel devices but plenty Android developers have ported to hundreds of other Android devices.

The difference between it and the native camera is IMAGE PROCESSING which is more important in camera nowadays than just the Good hardware. Most other Android OEMs haven't put in the amount R& Google put in to their camera app so, if you can find a stable Gcam for your Android phone, it will take better pictures than your native camera

Surely I am not comparing Gcam with High-end DSLR Camera but I have already done a comparison with Gcam and Canon EOS 1300D you can see it for yourself.

The problem with infinix and tecno is that they use cheap MTK (Media Tek) processors and still sell the phones costly in my opinion compared to what's obtainable in China and India for example.
If you want the best of Picture in your Android phone, buy Phones with Qualcomm's Snapdragon processors.

Depending on the tecno or infinix phone, I may be able find older ones for it but it may not be stable and many functions won't work properly

I got one that worked on infinix hot 4 pro but the image quality was nothing to write home about. I abandoned the APK file
