Personally, I think an Uber driver who has been active in the business for at least one year and doesn't hv savings has a personal problem.

Just my opinion tho
You're right shal... But think about this.

Boys grow up to become men and then husbands and fathers. How many responsibilities have added up?

2 right? Mind you his only job has been driving on uber with the same income or even worse lesser income because he can't keep late like he used to do when he was still single.

So don't be quick to judge my brother the country is hard.

Lets settle this once and for all since you dont want to grow up and have sense. Right now I laying a curse on you and this curse will follow you till you go down to your untimely grave. Henceforth, may you never find peace in your life, everyday you wake upand go out evil reports is all that will be said of you. All the sins your fathers have committed will come down upon you from these day henceforth. With the anointing upon my head I pronounce these curses on you the universe have heard me so they'll carry out the words of my mouth against you.

But we already in the point. A lot of us here depend on it to survive.

Most uber/taxify drivers are married men and women. Only a few of us have other line of income which is even nothing compare to what we derive from the uber income.

May God help us shal!

I sometimes ask myself your motive in business, because come to think of it after considering the cost of maintenance on a car use for transport purpose in nigeria roads if you actually make any profit.

The main purpose of every business is profit but I wonder what your mission truely is!

More grease to elbow though.

It takes a really focused, disciplined and prudent fellow to achieve significant savings from a hustle where you get paid on a daily basis, especially if it’s your only source of income and you have responsibilities. I’m not saying it’s not possible. It is, you just have to practise delayed gratification.

The young shall grow coy, has been in transportation business for at least 20years . And they are still in business till today, I believe so
The transportation profit margin is like a curve, it goes up ,down, middle, sideways etc . It is a good cash flow business if managed well.. Apart from bad roads, fake parts, bad mechanics etc drivers are the major headache of the business..

What matters in this business is how you source for your " raw material '' to run your business. The cost of your raw materials will determine your profit margin.. So in my case my raw material is the cars.. I know the best raw material for the job , in my case ' Honda Civic ' I said this years ago and I contributed to a lot of partners using the civic till now .....

Also another product that I do import personally is Mobil 1 engine oil .. My prices are likely one of the cheapest out there. This is because am not a middle man and I found ways to cut down cost.

In reality transportation business is a very tough business, but how you source for your "raw material " will determine your profit margin, some source high and some source low ..

And I feel that I have educated and encourage people enough.. And a magician does not reveal all of his tricks .

You're not wrong grin

Firstly, the property belongs to the partner. You are just renting it for a week.

Also, the only solution is to do a comprehensive insurance. But then, like you said, some partners can't really afford that. So that is why a driver must be careful.

I'm young, but I must confess, most young guys driving on Uber are very reckless with the cars. There are some drivers that their hobby is to damage cars and dump partners

Na only God go fit epp partners grin grin

If you can't afford insurance, you can't afford a car. Fight me.
