Do you want to make money today? grin Very simple

Requirement: GET AN AMBULANCE

-Switch on your app and get a request

-Call the rider and negotiate offline. Make sure you multiply the fare by 10

-Tell them you'll be picking them up in an ambulance

-Tell them you WILL NEVER accept transfers

Then come back here and testify cool

Dru23, I had to quote you when you addressed all Nigerian insurance companies as scams. I felt offended by that comment as I work in Leadway and this is the first reaction I get from most people.
The truth is that most of the time, these people have had no direct dealings with these companies but are merely repeating what A told them happened to B they never met. It is a recurring issue that upsets me a lot as I like dealing with facts and figures, not stories they told me.

Now, someone with that mindset that comes across your post believes he or she has more confirmation to a story they have heard all too often.

I am sincerely sorry about what happened to your vehicle, it is really difficult to keep up with this thread buh I saw somewhere where you appeared to be making peace with the said driver in question. That is mature of you - as I would expect. I hope this situation has taught you a lesson and you take future precautions by insuring your vehicle next time.
Best of luck.

An educated and matured way to criticize and correct a notion.

I have been going through your comments for a while, sometimes you make lots of sense, other times, not so much. You seem to throw around the fact that you base outside the country so much as a big achievement of sorts. This is a faceless forum, so anyone can claim what ever they deem fit.
Not to undermine your claims, but you must understand that you aren't the only one 'exposed' to outside the country. Being outside the country doesn't refine your thinking, rather it refines you to the laws and principles governing that environment.

All that being said, I'd love to address your claims of Americans and their saving mannerisms. I have been opportuned to live in different parts of UK, America and Canada, so I believe I have more exposure than you irrespective of age( since you live outside the country, you should know age is not considered).
The American system is a capitalist nation that is run on a credit system basis, hence allowing comfort for eternal indebtedness. This is why the average American doesn't see the need to save when he could access credit facilities. Why pay upfront for a 2,000 dollar tooth extraction when I could pay for it over a period of 2 years. That's the mentality that their system makes them believe. In UK they believe in save a little, and depend a little. I won't go into that because that's not basis of the comparison. In Canada, they operate more like the Nigerian system, still won't go in-depth. In Nigeria however, they do not run a credit based system, in fact the average Nigerian believe in save up to get it. Hence why there are lots of house owners in Nigeria. Getting your facts right, the average American isn't as asset worthy when compared to the average Nigerian, (if you have facts to disprove this, no problem). Back to your earlier arguement. The fact that American system is conducive for their citizens and the Nigerian system isn't doesn't mean the Nigerian system is totally bad. I really don't know why you love to bring down Nigeria at every slight opportunity, or see her citizens as below average thinkers, but it's totally wrong. First rule of business, don't undermine your customers because they make you. If majority of your customers begin to boycott your products, you'll go bankrupt in your engine oil business. If you live in America like you claim, you should realize that the average American doesn't come close intellectually to the average Nigerian.

I have a lot to say, but I'll leave it at this,

P.S, I know you'll either quote me with a derogatory meme, picture or response. Just in case you don't dissappoint, it shows your superio-inferior mentality. And if you do dissapoint me, then I take it you are mature as some of your posts portray.

N.B: in all my argument I made use of the word 'average'
Thank God we have some that have foreign experience in most parts of the world we can think of visiting or living. Well done jàre ọmọ ọkọ

I kept quiet too because I've had two occasions that third party insurance fixed my car in this Lagos .
For example Dec 30th I parked in street immediately I stepped out of a car just few steps from car I heard a shout and gbas my side mirror removed completely by uber driver avoiding okada.
D guy started normal begging sorry na okada. I just told him no worries do u have 3rd party d guy said yes. Very good, that's all I need.
I confirmed on website Dt it's genuine
We went to the insurance next day , filled forms and all protocols.
We went for new year holiday by January 3rd or 4th I bought new side mirror myself.
By third week insurance started calling me. Though it's small money but then they paid more than I bought the side mirror at ladipo.
The fact is I was refunded n small change on top.

Since I understood how insurance works I don't argue or quarrel with anyone again no begging. That's the reason car is insured.

Please I also want to clarify or ask a question. Because I was reading terms and conditions of one insurance coy.
That for example if you have third party insurance on your car and you ran into a shop or bicycle that is not a car. That as long as its your car dt caused it the insurance will pay for the damages.
That means it's not only car dt it covers that it covers third party properties involved.

If it's fence you break insurance will pay

Not really, the reason most people don't save is because they try to do it big. If each day N1,000 was transferred into interest bearing savings, an Uber driver would have 30k a month plus interest for each month he's been driving. If you're saying you can't put away 500-1,000 a day, you are in the wrong hustle.

If I'm wrong and this is not possible please set me straight

This is so true. One of my regrets is not joining the company cooperative early. Someome forced me after 10 years. If I had been there from day one, I would have cleaned up in a big way on exiting.

Your car third party insurance covers the following:

The insured’s (policy holder) legal liabilities for death and bodily injuries to third parties.

And third party property damage.

The answer to your question concerning breaking of fence is yes,the insurance company will take care of the claim.

While remedies for bodily injuries and death are unlimited since we cannot put value on life (never mind that some people attach no value to life in Nigeria) the limit for third party property damage is N1million or N2million depending on the insurer.

How about I the car that got damaged hitting the fence or running into another car? Or the insurance covers for just the car that was ran into?

In a situation, the car that was ran into has a comprehensive insurance and the car that ran into it just a third party. How Will things play out?
