Just came across this tweet on twitter

Though its not wrong to ask for support, wouldn't it have been better if the FG sent an official letter to the individuals/institutions involved instead of begging on twitter??

If they could beg for 100 vents on twitter, can we really say we are ready for this fight?

Dear @elonmusk @Tesla Federal Government of Nigeria needs support with 100-500 ventilators to assist with #Covid19 cases arising every day in Nigeria.

Now this is very embarrassing. Why beg an individual for something the FG can buy? What rubbish is this?

Gosh! If this is true. Then it is finished, completely finished and totally finished.

This is so disheartening for the so called giant of Africa to result to online begging at this period. I am utterly confused.

Modified, it is true ooo.

Nigeria is a joke

A full-option ventilator cost around $20,000. 100 units will cost around $2m. Using an exchange rate of N400/$, that's around N800m.

From the figures of donations by corporate bodies and private individuals, the FG should've received in excess of N20b. Please note that the NNPC together with its JV partners donated $30m (N12b).

Such a joke of a country!

Btw..

Budget for health sector in the last 5yrs:

2015- 22.68bn naira
2016- 28.65bn naira
2017- 55.61bn naira
2018- 71.11bn naira
2019- 51.22bn naira

And You people still have the mind to be begging, God forbid, this can't be my country.

Guys, let's not criticize for the sake of it. Ventilators are very scarce around the world now, and even with your money, you might not find to buy.

Yes, we can castigate the Nigerian government for not making healthcare a priority over the years but under the current circumstances, every government is trying its best to lay its hand on as many ventilators as it can. Trump had only a few days reached out to Putin and received a number of Ventilators from Russia as well.

This is not the time to be proud, we need all the help we can get at this time.

Buhari and his bunch of incompetent misfits will never stop exposing their foolishness, incompetence, myopicness andnpoor leadership quality at any given opportunity, always embarrassing this country in the comity of Nations.

Just look at the joke of a Nation. Buhari and his gang looted #12.5B allocated to Aso Rock clinic ever since he took charge yet they couldn't even buy a single ventilator, only to shamelessly go and carry one from Gwagwalada Specialist Hospital to Aso Rock, what a shame.

This is not to even mention all the budgetry allocation to health, yet they have bee fooling themselves with propaganda.

Imagine begging Ellon Musk for ventilators, shame.
And to think that Innoson offered to produce, why not look for a way to partner with Innoson in this challenging moment for the country, no , they prefer international begging.

The most annoying part of the whole mess is their online miscreants and e-diots coming to disturb the peace of the media space spewing all sorts of foolishness.

Anyways Iman of Peace rightly said " A stupid president is elected by stupid people".

Shame on all those that elected this disaster of a President.

How sophisticated people elected a certificateless dullard to rule a complex Nation like Nigeria remains the eight wonder of the world.

Rubbish.

Every Nigerians would have even be willing to donate at least #1000 which if put together will go a long way but the underlining issue has always been trust ever since looting was made a constitutional obligation by those in authority.

Not bad only that it should have been done discretely. Elon Musk is giving and shipping for free. Government should have placed an official request.

Now the person running that handle is in deep shit...

If this news is not fake.
But i read that the accountant health minister said that they don't need more ventilators, and the ones available have not been exhausted yet, and they could be taken to any part of the country when they are need. And from is interview, only one ventilator have been used so far in this pandemic.

This must be fake news to paint the government in black n' black.

The only thing wrong is that the Ministry of Health or NCDC should have been the one asking for the ventilators.
