AngryIgboMan:Chai. Wisdom. This man stated it as it is. Let me share my little experience... I bought the "Watermelon/snake oil car" in December 2019. Okay, I saw this car on jiji and decided to go and check it out. I went with a mechanic to Ibadan on Sunday. 8th December 2019. On getting there, we inspected and I kept asking the mechanic if anything was wrong. The fool kept saying only tyre. I asked him severally, he kept on his word. I paid sha. Driving the car to Lagos sha. Car started going off in traffic. He kept saying it's a small issue. We got down to Lagos and expenses started on this car. From guys that changed the lights, to 4-tyres, windscreen had a small crack. Spent 200k there oh. I won die. Car wey I never use make money. They all sucked me Conclusion: They knew the car was faulty , but still keep lieing to me, in order to make money from me Guess what!!!! The engine was bad. Sold it off at a loss sha. That was when I knew that there were too many greedy folks in 9ja. Only after their pocket |

EzekielMab:With a mechanic or your mechanic? I doubt if your personal mechanic will do that to you. There are some good Nigerians out there though the percentage is low. I don't believe average Nigerian is greedy , average Nigerian is hungry and looking for food , so when they see opportunity dey want to over feed. Poverty mentality Same thing with our politicians - they keep packing money cos of fear of being poor after d tenor . Money dey can't spend in life time cos there mindset hasn't change. Same way you go to parties and you see guys struggling to pack 6 bottles of coke home cos it's awoof, just 600 naira. They drive big cars n live in lekki this same people can afford cartons of juice but the mindset |

mtinfx:They get offered way higher than that. Best thing is to go with your own mech like someone up there said and hope they won't turn his head. Pay him well for his service and you are probably half way there already. |

xrayj:Although I didnt study in Cambridge University, at least I still know how to put words together. The word "obviously" used in my statement doesn't mean actual or a concluded fact. Ok, coming to you now. You said something is wrong without giving any reason to why its wrong and give your own point. It seems this thread is a place where people are attack with empty treats. |

BAZ001:It's so funny a fellow Nigerian will make that statement ,but if it was me , they will twist my words around and call me names like Audio CEO, arrogant, trouble maker etc it shows the double standard that comes out on nairaland. So sad ,so sad a fellow Nigerian can't trust another fellow Nigerian living in the same country , so how do you expect a Nigerian living outisde Nigeria to trust the ones living in Nigeria.... Smh ...... |

EzekielMab:Sorry about this boss. Too bad, I've always being seeing things like these on this thread, and something just came to my mind now, mama radautoworks I think we should nominate you of any one wants to buy a car here the person can contact you to follow him/her for check up but he has to pay, it's better paying you 20k for check up on the car than spending another 200k on stupid expenses and selling the car at loss |
